None of Dwayne Johnson’s Co-Stars Made Him Laugh Harder Than Emily Blunt

Dwayne Johnson revealed that his Jungle Cruise co-star Emily Blunt made him laugh harder than any of his other collaborators on any film. Jungle Cruise premiered at the end of July in theaters and on Disney+ and was a box-office success. Like Disney's Pirates Of The Caribbean movie, Jungle Cruise is also based on the Walt Disney World attraction, and the ending seemingly sets up Johnson for another hit movie franchise.

Jungle Cruise starred Johnson as Frank Wolff, a riverboat captain enlisted by Dr. Lil Houghton (Blunt) to take her and her brother (Jack Whitehall) on an adventure of a lifetime. The trio takes on a dangerous journey up the river, searching for a magical tree of life with healing properties of epic proportions. They have to battle conquistadors like Aguirre (Edgar Ramirez) and Joachim (Jesse Plemons), who are also looking for the mystical tree but with more sinister intentions. Jungle Cruise went to earn over $90 million globally, which is considered a massive success due to the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on theater attendance. And clearly, fans are sold on the light-hearted duo of Johnson and Blunt.

Johnson took to his Instagram to gush about his co-star, who he said he had developed true chemistry with based on trust, which can be seen on screen. "Here's the gospel ~ I have never EVER worked with any other costar in my life who makes me laugh harder than this one," Johnson wrote. Along with the caption, he shared a hilarious mashup of their press junkets where the pair literally cannot help but laugh out loud the entire time. Check out his full post below.

In the video mashup, Johnson and Blunt sound like they're just talking smack one-on-one and not in front of cameras and reporters. A hilarious moment is when they recall their Jungle Cruise kissing scene, which they both referred to as "grotesque." Johnson jokes he practiced by kissing his dog while Blunt clapped back that her co-star's breath smelled like "so much protein."

Johnson has an array of acting credits — from starring alongside Jack Black and Kevin Hart in the Jumanji films to his collaboration with Zac Efron on the Baywatch remake. So to say Blunt is the most hilarious person he's worked with is a hefty statement, but one he obviously believes. And he's right that their off-camera chemistry translates so authentically on-screen. It's also clear that the pair are more than excited for the Jungle Cruise story to continue with a sequel and hopefully a bigger franchise to come.
