Winner of The Bachelorette and Katie Thurston’s heart, Blake Moynes, recently took to Instagram to recreate one of Katie’s past photoshoots and demonstrate his sense of humor. Katie and Blake clearly share a bond, and their ability to not take life too seriously makes them an excellent match for each other. Blake’s latest round of photos proves just how right he is for Katie.
Though he joined her season partway through, Blake and Katie shared sparks from the get-go. After he becoming part of her cast, Blake quickly shot up the ranks of Katie’s suitors and had previous frontrunner Greg Grippo shaking in his boots. After a dramatic meltdown, Greg left the show and it became clear to Katie that Blake was the one all along. The newly-engaged couple finally made their public debut on After the Final Rose last week and have been enjoying life together away from the cameras.
It was obvious from the start of the season that Katie needed a man who could match her silly sense of humor, and Blake continues to prove he’s up to the task. In early July, Katie posted a series of photos from a poolside photoshoot featuring a green blazer, bright pink bathing suit, and yellow heels. Blake apparently wanted to show off his glamorous side as well and recently uploaded his own pictures from a photoshoot recreating Katie’s—complete with bright yellow Crocs.
The photos are hilarious and self-deprecating, and they show just how good of a match Blake is for his new fiancée and how right Katie was to choose him at the end of her season. From the minute she introduced herself to former lead Matt James on The Bachelor with her signature vibrator in hand, it was clear that Katie doesn’t take herself too seriously. Blake, it seems, is just the same—ready to poke fun at himself and societal norms, all at once.
It’s clear that The Bachelorette pair is enjoying their new life together as an engaged couple. Katie and Blake have been traveling around his home in Canada and getting to know each other better now that they’re off the show. Blake said he has “zero doubts” about Katie and getting engaged, and his confidence likely comes from how well-matched the two are. The couple seem to be having a blast together, and hopefully there will be more fun social media content from them ahead.
