With Angela Deem finally getting weight loss surgery on 90 Day Fiancé, she’s also revealed why she did it before Michael Ilesanmi moved to America. After her wedding with Michael in January 2020 in Nigeria, Angela has been feeling the heat of a long-distance relationship more than ever. While Michael has made it clear that he may never be happy with Angela’s decision to choose surgery over having a baby, her doing breast reduction was the last straw to make him consider divorce. But Angela had her own reasons to lose her 100 pounds, which she did to save her marriage as the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? cast member told Dr. Drew.
Alongside losing weight on 90 Day Fiancé, Angela also seemed to be losing interest in Michael. As fans saw Angela repeat her past mistakes of having double standards, she unabashedly flirted with her plastic surgeon Dr. Michael K. Obeng. Interestingly, Angela also tried to make Michael jealous by telling him about her flirtatious escapades as the 32-year-old man worried about the weight loss causing his marriage to break. In a confession on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Michael revealed his fear of Angela leaving him for a new man after her makeover, as he made it clear that he was with the meemaw just because of her breasts.
But when 90 Day Fiancé icon Angela made her way to Dr. Drew’s House for a quick chat, she revealed what had made her think of losing weight in the first place. On the show, Angela had confessed that one of the reasons was her health, and how the growing weight often made her go out of breath. But Angela smoking right before the surgery, and as per a 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? preview, even after, TLC viewers doubted her claims. The truth may have come to light during Angela’s chat with Dr. Drew, as per a video posted by 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates.
When quizzed about Michael and Angela’s age difference causing anxiety in their marriage, the 90 Day Fiancé star replied with, “Michael never not once made me feel 52, because in Michael’s mind, he thinks I’m his age.” Angela continued her surprising statement by adding, “because I got a young heart, and I don’t act my age, I guess.” The Hazlehurst resident also spoke about Michael not realizing that she is getting older, and “he is younger.” Angela mentioned how Michael hasn’t been to America yet and that he “doesn’t know there are beautiful women over here. Lots of young, beautiful women.” But Angela shared that while she cannot get younger, she did confess, “I can help better my looks for my husband as well.”
However, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? teases the probability of Michael straying even though he isn’t in the US yet. A scene has Angela wanting to put a tracker in his phone and Michael is egged on by his Nigerian friends to chase big booty women instead. With Angela already having said that she may have also thought of a divorce, could it be possible that 90 Day Fiancé star Michael never gets to see America or its beautiful women in the end?
