Every Upcoming Emma Stone Movie & TV Show | Screen Rant

Emma Stone is one of the most consistent actresses in the industry based on the stellar quality of her performances, and she will look to continue that trend with her numerous upcoming roles. After working professionally for over two decades, Stone has acquired dozens of acting credits between TV and movies. That already impressive resume, which includes an Academy Award-winning performance, will keep growing in the near future.

After appearing in a few TV shows, Stone found her breakout role, playing Jules in 2007's Superbad. From there, her film career took over with memorable work in movies like The House Bunny, Zombieland, Easy A, and Crazy, Stupid, Love. Stone's work then reached a wider audience after she was cast as Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man film series. Around that time, the actress began tackling more serious roles with critically acclaimed performances in Birdman, La La Land, Battle of the Sexes, and The Favourite.

More recently, Stone reprised her role of Wichita in Zombieland 2: Double Tap, reuniting with the original cast for another post-apocalyptic adventure with the undead. In 2020, Stone also provided her voice to reprise her animated character, Eep Crood, in The Croods: A New Age. Her schedule will remain busy for the foreseeable future, with several notable projects on the horizon, and here's a breakdown.

Stone is making her Disney feature film debut in Cruella, the film based on the origins of the infamous villain, Cruella de Vil. The actress is portraying the titular character in the comedy-drama directed by Craig Gillespie. The movie will follow a young Cruella as an aspiring fashion designer before becoming a criminal mastermind with an odd obsession with dalmatian fur. The third live-action installment in the 101 Dalmations movie series also stars Emma Thompson, Emily Beecham, Mark Strong, Joel Fry, and Paul Walter Hauser.

After starring in Yorgos Lanthimos' The Favourite, Stone is set to reteam with the filmmaker for Poor Things, a story based on Alasdair Gray's satirical novel. The Frankenstein-like tale follows Bella Baxter; a woman brought back to life by an extraordinary scientist with the use of an infant's brain. Mark Ruffalo has also been cast in the movie alongside Willem Defoe. Pre-production is underway with the project's current 2022 expected release date. Aside from Poor Things, Stone is also working on a short film with Lanthimos centered around the Stavros Niarchos Hall of the Greek National Opera.

After starring opposite Jonah Hill in Netflix's Maniac, Stone will be returning to a TV series with her role in The Curse. The Showtime series from A24 will focus on an alleged curse affecting newlyweds while filming an HGTV show titled Flipanthropy. Stone is set to play the female lead in a cast that currently includes Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie, the duo who created the upcoming comedy series.

There's a chance Stone's time playing Gwen Stacy hasn't come to an end based on rumors the actress will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film set in Phase 4 of the MCU will presumably involve the long-awaited multiverse, opening the door for new and old faces to interact with Tom Holland's Peter Parker. Among the rumored figures heading to No Way Home are cast members from the past two Spider-Man film series, including The Amazing Spider-Man's Peter, Andrew Garfield, and Emma Stone's version of Gwen. While there still isn't confirmation of their appearance, it's very plausible the duo will reunite for the movie set to debut on December 17, 2021.
