Screen Rant chatted exclusively with one of the leading ladies of Selling Sunset. She had a lot to say about her relationship with her co-star, Jason Oppenheim. Netflix’s real estate reality TV show has been making a big splash this summer. Selling Sunset has the golden recipe for binge-worthy television. It follows a group of high-end realtors who sport Louboutins in almost every scene, while they show gorgeous million-dollar California listings.
As if that wasn’t enough, Selling Sunset is riddled with juicy drama. From passive office fights to tense dinner parties, Selling Sunset doesn’t disappoint. This show keeps fans entertained. So, when Screen Rant got the chance to talk to Mary Fitzgerald, we had to ask the starlet about her rather interesting relationship with ex and boss, Jason Oppenheim. It’s obvious in many scenes that the ”just friends” exes create tension in Selling Sunset's chic office... especially when their fellow co-stars call them out for favoritism. Along with the favoritism claims, Fitzgerald also had Oppenheim in her wedding party, which fans got to see on the season two finale. Mary and her (now hubby) Romain Bonnet finally tied the knot. So, of course, we felt obliged to ask how her relationship with Oppenheim is now that she’s married.
When we chatted with Mary Fitzgerald about her relationship with her Selling Sunset co-star, Jason Oppenheim, the reality star didn’t hold anything back. Fitzgerald explained that the: “two couldn’t be closer. We’re the best of friends and just really respect each other. We understand each other and can calm each other down.” She also dishes on that long hug that aired in season two, during another big fight between the group of realtors. She told us that the infamous hug “wasn’t that long; they did some editing with that one, but it still shows how close we are. We know we will never do anything to hurt each other." Jason also values his friendship with his ex, according to Daily Express.
So, it looks like these two exes are really able to make the whole “just friends” thing work for them. That's a talent that many exes just don't have, so kudos to them.
The new season is debuting soon; it’s slated to come out August 7, 2020. Selling Sunset spoilers are starting to leak about how this odd relationship brings even more drama. Fans, we guess, will just have to wait and see for themselves how these two interact with each other in Selling Sunset season three.
