When it comes to pure physical strength, few beings exist who can match the Hulk, but out in the multiverse there are many versions of the Green Goliath, and Marvel Zombies' is even more powerful than the mainstream incarnation for one very specific reason. When a zombie outbreak occurs on an alternate Earth within the Marvel Universe, nearly every hero and villain is transformed, including the Hulk.
In Marvel Zombies by Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips, the Marvel Universe is plagued by a zombie virus brought to Earth by the Sentry. Unlike other zombie media, Marvel’s zombies are more or less coherent, with their minds intact but altered to crave human flesh above all else, even as their bodies slowly rot away. While the Earth is being ravaged by the supernatural plague, the cosmic being Galactus decides it is the perfect time to consume the Earth, as there are no heroes left to stop him. Unfortunately for Galactus, he couldn’t be more wrong.
Once Galactus descends upon the Earth, he is immediately attacked by a horde of superhero zombies, who waste no time in consuming his cosmic flesh. While the zombies simply wanted to eat Galactus because of his enormous size, they find an additional perk to consuming the entity is gaining portions of Galactus' Power Cosmic. With this immense power increase, Luke Cage, Iron Man, Giant Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine and Hulk take to the universe, traveling from planet to planet and wiping out all life in their wake.
Zombie Hulk was one of the heroes who killed Galactus and ate his flesh, so he was also granted the Power Cosmic. Because of that power increase, the Zombie Hulk is much stronger than the original Hulk. While the Hulk has no limit as he gets stronger the madder he gets, and nothing makes him madder than losing a fight, only his "Breaker of Worlds" form has equaled Galactus, in a now defunct future timeline where he was possessed by the cosmic god known as the One-Below-All. In Marvel Zombies 2 (also from Phillips and Kirkman), Hulk proves his incredible power by destroying Thanos with a single clap of his hands, all so he can claim his share of the food.
Hulk's zombie instincts turned him into a far more powerful being capable of consuming the intelligent life of planet after planet without ever tiring or growing weak. It's unclear how his unique biology would compare to the mainstream Hulk otherwise - he is decomposing, after all, but his hunger also gives him an animalistic rage that could provide a strength boost - but having consumed Galactus, Zombie Hulk became one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe.
Ultimately, Zombie Hulk was a tragic culmination of Bruce Banner's journey, as the powerful monster he created finally broke completely free of morality and became a cosmic plague. Sadly, when Marvel Zombies 2 sees the other members of the Galactus-empowered cadre lose their hunger, Hulk is the last to realize, slaughtering the Phoenix and Iron Man before returning to the form of Bruce Banner and being executed by his former allies. Even in the sick world of Marvel Zombies, Hulk stood out as a tragic figure whose lack of control led to death and ruin.
