Warning! Spoilers ahead for Dark Ages #2
In the latest issue of Marvel Comics' Dark Ages, Spider-Man and Daredevil combine their powers in a really epic way. With the lights having gone out for good in this alternate Marvel Universe, the heroes of the world have come together to keep humanity intact, leading the way to an alternate path beyond the typically dark fates of post-apocalyptic worlds. Creating safe haven cities, Peter Parker and Matt Murdock act as the first line of defense, using their unique powers to prevent threats from undoing all they've worked so hard to build.
In the first issue of Dark Ages from writer Tom Taylor and artist Iban Coello, the cosmic being known as the Unmaker attacked and nearly broke the world. However, Doctor Strange was able to shut it down by unleashing a massively powerful EMP from another dimension. However, Strange was killed before he could close the portal to said dimension, resulting in the entire globe being covered by the EMP located near the Earth's core, shutting down the world's electricity for good. While the world began falling into all sorts of chaos and violence in response, Marvel's heroes came together to forge a new way, forming a new civilization with cities connected by telepaths while also setting up Wakanda as the world's new capital.
Now, Dark Ages #2 sees Spider-Man and Daredevil working in tandem to protect their shared utopia. Creating a vast network of webs, Peter Parker has essentially formed a massive security system of tripwires for miles surrounding Wakanda, (presumedly using a special compound that doesn't dissolve after an hour). Once one of the webs gets tripped by an intruder, it causes a bell to be rung, which alerts Daredevil who's operating in an outpost on the city's perimeter. Using his heightened sense, Matt can then determine exactly which direction the imminent danger is coming from, resulting in a pretty cool combination of his and Spider-Man's powers.

Interestingly enough, Daredevil and his partner Foggy don't have to alert anyone this particular time seen in this new issue, seeing as how the current response team on duty consists of Wolverine who no doubt already smells the horde of vampires and werewolves headed for her team. Consisting of Honey Badger, Elsa Bloodstone, Blade, and Wolverine herself, they're essentially the perfect team to handle this particular threat. Regardless, Spider-Man and Daredevil acting as humanity's early warning system is pretty cool in this new world without electricity.
As Taylor and Coello's Dark Ages continues, it's going to be interesting to see how else Marvel's heroes are working to protect humanity in light of the lights having been turned off for good. Are there going to be any other unique power synergies like the combo seen from Spider-Man and Daredevil? Fans will just have to wait and see as the new series continues, seeing the Marvel Universe being given a reboot and second chance thanks to its heroes.
