Below Deck: Captain Sean Is Ready To Bring 'Down The Ax' On New Crew

The new man at the wheel, Captain Sean Meagher, is ready to "bring down the ax" on his Below Deck crew members. The new season is ready to set sail in St. Kitts with some fresh faces. Even though a new captain will be at the helm, he's not above getting his hands dirty to make sure the charter season goes well.

Viewers finally got to meet Below Deck's Captain Sean after a long wait. He is known to be a very hands-on leader with an attitude to boot. Like Captain Lee, in Captain Sean's eyes, the customer always comes first. Bravo shared that he first began his career in Massachusetts. Throughout his excursions, he has led many expeditions and won prestigious boat awards as well. If the My Seanna crew thought they would be cut any slack, they are in for a rude awakening.

While Captain Lee is away, the cast and crew will still not play. The newest season of Below Deck just hit, and Captain Sean is one tough cookie. During the premiere, he made it clear to staff that he was not opposed to firing anyone, including department heads. In an uncomfortable welcome session, he told the rest of the crew that he may not be great at "cracking the whip," but he was good at "swinging an ax." The crew's faces said it all as their jaws dropped to the floor.

Captain Sean openly told the staff he wouldn't think twice about firing one of them if they messed up. The steely leader said he would rather run the ship short-handed than keep a screw-up on board. Captain Sean had Eddie Lucas running ragged during the premiere episode as he bossed his first officer around. Eddie, who is an experienced yachtie, was less than thrilled with the captain's micromanaging skills. Captain Sean's open threats did not sit well with the cast or fans. While the new captain made it crystal clear that his way of running a superyacht would be different from Captain Lee's, he didn't do himself any favors by laying down the law.

After the first episode, Eddie and fans were both wishing for the return of Captain Lee. True to his word, the new captain was spotted already interfering with the crew's chore list. While it is nice to see Captain Sean not afraid to fluff a pillow, his persistence is a bit overbearing. Below Deck fans are hoping as the season progresses that the new star will start to relax or fear a possible mutiny.
