RHOA: Cynthia Bailey Confirms She Won’t Be Returning As A Housewife

The day The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans feared has finally come as Cynthia Bailey has confirmed that she will not be returning for the new season of the popular Bravo show. The former supermodel has been a staple on the series, thanks to Cynthia's falling out with NeNe Leakes and her friendship with Kenya Moore. Who could ever forget Cynthia's friendship contract? Cynthia has undoubtedly added to the franchise and will be missed.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers were first introduced to Cynthia at the premiere for season 3. The Georgia peach had just fallen in love with Peter Thomas and was planning her wedding. At the time, the RHOA celeb had some doubts about whether she should marry. Besides her friendship contracts, Cynthia was known for her quick-witted humor and ability to be the voice of reason while the other women fought around her. This past season showed Cynthia getting ready to marry the love of her life, Mike Hill, but not before "Strippergate" came into question and became a focal point of the season. Bravo viewers now wish Cynthia had given herself a contract that could have bound her to the show.

Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta are devastated by the recent development that Cynthia will no longer be holding a peach. The model took to her Instagram to share the sad news. In a statement, Cynthia wrote, "After much thought and consideration, I have made the very difficult and heartfelt decision not to return for the next season." The housewife made sure to thank Bravo and NBC for all their hard work. Cynthia acknowledged that the role was an opportunity of a lifetime, saying she would miss her fans the most. Bravo viewers have been lucky enough to watch 11 years of Cynthia's life and will forever miss her on the show. Check out her post below:

The newlywed shared that it was time for her to move on to her next adventure after such a long run. While she did not have any plans set in stone, Cynthia promised to keep her followers updated. While most Bravo fans would have liked to see Cynthia continue in her role as a housewife, it was evident that her story had come full circle. It was easy to appreciate the irony as she married on her very first season and then married Mike this past October.

Cynthia's second wedding will have to be the fitting ending to her The Real Housewives of Atlanta legacy. Lovers of the series know it can be hard to hold onto a peach, but there is no denying that Cynthia did well as a housewife. For 11 seasons, Cynthia has been an icon on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Fans will now have to prepare themselves not to see her face or Lake Bailey on the show anymore.
