Bungie issued the last week of new challenges for Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer on July 13, bringing the total number of challenges that players can complete to 79. While the last few weeks of the season begin to wind down, players have the chance to complete any challenge they might have missed earlier on. Season of the Splicer will continue until Aug. 24, giving players just a little over five weeks to complete every challenge and reap the rewards. Override and Expunge missions, and all other story-related quests, are still available for players to complete as well. Although the endless night has been put to a stop, anyone who missed a week or more worths of story missions can still complete them at their leisure.
It is somewhat hard to believe that Season of the Splicer is almost at its end. Destiny 2 has had some of its most content filled weeks over Season 14, bringing the Vault of Glass Raid, more than 30 new or previously sunset weapons, new quests, new activities, new armor, and finally a new Transmog system to all under multiple releases from start to the tenth week. While the tenth week's challenges are few in number, they have a lot of requirements for players to complete - effectively keeping players busy for the remaining few weeks of this season.
Split Focus is the first challenge in the tenth week of Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer. Players will have to defeat opponents with Melee, Grenade, and Super abilities anywhere in the system, each measured by percentage. These ability kills are not limited to a specific subclass, and bonus progress is awarded for combatants defeated in Override or Expunge. Rewards for this challenge are:
- x4 Extra Large XP
- Decrypted Data +250
Explosive Calibration is the second challenge, and once again this is a challenge measured by a percentage for completion. Players will have to use Grenade Launchers and Rocket Launcher in Destiny 2 to complete this challenge. Bonus progress is awarded for defeated Guardians in any playlist. Rewards for this challenge are:
- x4 Extra Large XP
- 150 Bright Dust
Threads of Light is the third challenge, bringing players back to Destiny 2's Override playlist. Guardians will have to defeat a percentage of combatants in Override while wearing Season of the Splicer armor. Bonus progress is awarded for every piece of armor equipped. Players will also have to deposit 100 Data Motes, but they are not required to wear the Season of the Splicer armor as they complete this part of the challenge. Rewards for this challenge are:
- x4 Extra Large XP
- Decrypted Data +250
Elemental Gambit is the fourth and final challenge issued in the tenth week of Season of the Splicer. Players will need to complete two games of Gambit with each elemental subclassed equipped. Gambit wins do not add additional progress, but they can help towards completing a Season of the Splicer Week 7 challenge where players are required to earn 16 Infamy ranks. For Elemental Gambit, Solar and Stasis subclasses are interchangeable. Rewards for this challenge are:
- x4 Extra Large XP
- 150 Bright Dust
Any player who is looking to earn the Large Bright Dust Pile reward for completing 75 of the Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer challenges should earn all four of these challenges. Since most of the challenges require players to either be in Override or Expunge missions, players can double down on their challenge completing efforts while attempting these four. For example, players looking to unlock 20 Corrupted Chests may want to run Corrupted Expunge missions and focus on defeating enemies with their Subclass abilities.
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation4, PlayStation5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia platforms.
