After Kim filed for divorce in February, there were reports claiming that Kanye was the one who initiated the break-up. He had apparently been over their marriage for a while.
Shortly thereafter, insiders spilled details on the type of woman Kanye wanted to date after KUWTK star Kim and his desire to be with an artist so they could "speak the same language." Eventually, he started fueling dating rumors with Russian model Irina. The two have a history together, dating back to her appearance in his 2010 music video for "Power."
The pair appeared to confirm their romance on Kanye's birthday during a romantic trip to France. Now sources are dishing on how the billionaire mogul pursued the supermodel during the final days of his marriage to Kim. “They’ve been dating for a couple months now, from talking to meeting and now taking a trip for his birthday," a source told Us Weekly. "Kanye loves that Irina is very easygoing and a laid-back person to be with." It turns out the Yeezy founder was “the first one to reach out" and express his interest in the fashion star.
With them both working in the fashion industry, the pairing seems like a fit for both stars. “Kanye also loves that Irina is an established and respected model in the fashion community," the insider added. The ex-husband of the KUWTK star "loves that she carries clout with the fashion world. He thinks they could be a very chic power couple.” Irina hasn't been linked to anyone since her 2019 split with actor Bradley Cooper. The pair share their 4-year-old daughter together. Meanwhile, Kanye has recently transitioned to co-parenting his four children with Kim.
Kanye and Kim were known for stealing the attention on any red carpet they walked. But it looks like Irina is going to be the new "it" girl, thanks to Kanye. She previously walked in one of his Yeezy presentations at Paris Fashion Week. It's said that Kanye has had an attraction to her for many years.
