KUWTK: Why Kim Kardashian Failed Her First Law Exam | Screen Rant

In a recent snippet of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian revealed she failed the baby bar, the preliminary law school exam. Even though failure always hurts, there are several reasons why Kim likely didn’t perform her best on the baby bar.

Approximately two years ago, Kim revealed on Instagram that she was one year into a four-year program to become an official lawyer. Part of the reason why she wanted to pursue a law degree was because of her father, Robert Kardashian Sr., who was a high-profile attorney. While attending school, Kim has also become actively involved in prison reform, including the cases of Alice Marie Johnson and Julius Jones. She even announced a documentary called Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project. Kardashian received tons of praise for using her platform for such a great cause, but she recently faced a setback.

In a recent teaser of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim tells her family she didn’t pass the baby bar, the first year exam for law students. “So you guys, I did not pass the baby bar,” Kardashian tells her family, then adds in the confessional, “If you are doing law school the way I’m doing it, it is a four year program instead of your typical three year program. And after year one, you have to take the baby bar. This would actually [be] harder, I hear, than the official bar.” Even though this is a setback for Kim, there are several reasons why she may have struggled with the exam.

The first reason Kim might’ve failed is her recent divorce from Kanye West. The end of a relationship is always stressful, but on top of that, Kim had to deal with new co-parenting arrangements. Even though she’s in school, Kardashian is still a business owner and is engaging in prison reform work. Not to mention, she never finished college or university, meaning she doesn’t have a strong academic past. Most people in school aren’t mothers, going through a divorce, working full time, all in the midst of a pandemic, so it’s understandable that Kim didn’t perform the best that she could have.

I am a failure. I spent six weeks straight, 10 to 12 hours a day, studying and it was so important for me to take this. And to not pass gets your spirit down and just makes you want to give up,” Kardashian said, saddened. It is totally understandable that Kim is feeling down over her recent baby bar results. Anyone would be upset over a failed exam. However, this Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is definitely not a quitter. Something tells us that she’ll get up, brush herself off and try again.
