Paige Banks met and married Chris Williams II on episode three of Lifetime's hit matchmaking show Married at First Sight. However, fans called out Chris' father, Chris Williams I, for making inappropriately sexual comments at the wedding.
Chris and Paige were matched by the Married at First Sight experts due to their shared faith and their mutual desire to have children in the near future. Both Chris and Paige are successful in their careers РChris is a finance manager and Subway franchise owner, while Paige is an accountant and realtor. The experts hoped the couple would have a strong foundation of shared values for their marriage, but tension arose between them from their very first conversation, during which Chris compared Paige to his very recent ex-fianc̩e. Chris received backlash from Married at First Sight fans for asking Paige intimate sexual questions about birth control, her sexual history, and her sex drive during dinner at their wedding reception. Despite appreciating her "fat ass," Chris also told producers that he was "not 100% attracted" to his new wife.
Chris's father, Chris Williams I, is also causing controversy due to his own inappropriate behavior at Chris and Paige's wedding. Immediately after the ceremony, Chris Sr. commented on his daughter-in-law's body, telling Chris, "Son, she's got a nice shape..." In his first full conversation with Paige, he instructed her to have sex with Chris each day when he returned home from work, telling her that "[Chris] wants to be intimate with his wife... Married at First Sight fans have been wary of Chris' true intentions after he divulged that he was engaged to another woman only three months prior to marrying Paige. Teasers for the rest of the season hint at a pregnancy storyline surrounding Paige and Chris, although there has been some speculation that Chris' ex-fiancée is the one who's pregnant. However, both Chris and Paige have stated that they were ready for kids as soon as possible and were open to trying for a "honeymoon baby."
