Bachelorette: Tayshia Buys Tiny Christmas Tree Last-Minute In NYC With Zac Clark

Fans of The Bachelorette were livid when an After The Final Rose special didn't air to provide an update on Tayshia Adams' engagement to Zac Clark. Thankfully, they've taken to social media to share glimpses into their lives as a still-happy couple. One of the most recent adventures featured Tayshia on an adorable quest through New York City to purchase a Christmas tree and surprise her fiancé.

The love story of Tayshia and Zac is definitely "goals." Though the 36-year-old addiction recovery specialist wasn't the first contestant to catch her eye, the two quickly formed an unbreakable bond. Both shared details about their troubled pasts (Zac's substance abuse and Tayshia's divorce), and both accepted the other with open hearts. Since The Bachelorette finale aired and Bachelor Nation saw Zac get down on one knee, the two have been posting sweet videos on Instagram to show that their love – despite living on opposite coasts during a global pandemic – is only growing stronger.

On Christmas Day, Tayshia left her home in California to celebrate with Zac in the Big Apple. Even while in a brand new city, Tayshia wanted to do something special for her "Clarky." On her Instagram Stories, the 30-year-old chronicled her solo mission to find a Christmas tree. She snuck out during Zac's post-run shower. Tayshia said, "I told him he's not allowed to come out. He doesn't even know I'm gone. I hope I don't get lost." The plan was to simply buy a tree from a vendor on the side of the road. But because it was Christmas Day, everything was sold out. So, Tayshia switched gears and sought out a holly tree she spotted at a nearby deli the night before. She said, "A holly tree is a Christmas tree, right!?" However, that tree turned out to be $170, so she settled on a much tinier, cheaper option. The final result of Tayshia's "mission makeshift tree" can be seen below.

In addition to finding the perfect tree (well, attempting to anyway) Tayshia experienced the magic of Rockefeller Center with Zac. Afterward, "Clarky and the Queen" took a selfie to remember their first Christmas together. Tayshia's Instagram Stories post can be seen below.

Prior to their time in New York City, Zac headed to the west coast to spent time with the Adams family. Tayshia posted a photo with the caption, "Merry Christmas. This is the first time in a year & a half my entire family is together! And in addition to that we have my brothers Fiancé Samantha & my Fiancé Zachary! MY HEART IS SO FULL!" Zac commented, "I love it when you call me Zachary." The post can be seen below.

For members of Bachelor Nation who followed the entire whirlwind of The Bachelorette season 16, it's rewarding to see two deserving people find true happiness. Yes, original Bachelorette Clare Crawley is still with fiancé Dale Moss, who she got engaged to after two weeks, but cheating rumors quickly surfaced. As for Tayshia and Zac, it seems they only have eyes for each other. Even Zac's ex-wife Jennifer Stanley-George is supportive, stating on the night of The Bachelorette finale, "I want the best for him. I hope that he is the final one tonight and that they are still together." Congrats to the happy couple and may they experience many more Christmases together.
