The second season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has come to an end. However, Deavan Clegg still has a lot to say about what wasn't shown in the show. She recently opened up about her experience of working on reality TV in an emotional, lengthy Instagram post. She is grateful for the opportunity, but at the same time, she talks about "how evil some people can be."
Many 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way viewers would know that Deavan had a rollercoaster ride of a relationship with her South Korean husband, Jihoon Lee. She got pregnant on her first night with Jihoon and decided to relocate to South Korea with her two kids. The couple even had an official South Korean-style wedding by the end of the show. However, something happened between the couple behind the cameras. During the coronavirus pandemic's initial phase, the 24-year-old Utah native decided to leave her husband and returned to the United States. She promised Jihoon that she would be back, but that never happened, and in September, she announced her new relationship with her boyfriend, Topher Park. Since she moved on too quickly and the show didn't hint at anything sinister happening between the couple, many fans are left confused about why Deavan left and never returned. Well, the former reality TV star claims that many scenes were lost during the editing process.
She is opening up about her experience on the show in her chilling Instagram post. The former TLC star shared a few behind the scenes pictures of the show and wrote, "The past two years have been the hardest I've ever experienced in my life." She criticized Sharp Entertainment, the production company that produces 90 Day Fiancé, for creating "fake scenarios taken from real life to ruin many peoples lives." She claims that a lot of scenes were edited from the second half of the season. But, she thanked the "Korean film crew who was apart from sharp" and claimed that they knew "the bad and held my hand through it." Check out her Instagram post below:
She continued, "Alot of over the line things bringing many of the cast members to almost take their lives. Me being one of them." She says that her "goodbye" was featured in the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way midseason trailer. However, viewers didn't get to see that on the show. Check out the trailer below (via Reality TV World), where Deavan is seen sobbing and saying, "I don't know what to do. I don't want to be here."
The young mother of two hopes that the production company would treat cast members "fairly" and not consider them as "money bags or other puppets" in the future. After her chilling statement, she thanked the 90 Day Fiancé alum Tiffany Franco Smith and Erika Owens to support and help her "through the abuse." She also thanked 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates for "being my shoulder to cry on." Deavan concluded her post with hard-hitting hashtags, #f**kreality#nothingiswhatitseems.
