Ami and Billy Brown from Alaskan Bush People are reportedly living in a $2.7 million Beverly Hills home, further fueling the rumors that the show is entirely fake. The Discovery Channel show began in 2014. It originally appeared to be a documentary following the lives of the Brown family, who lived in the Alaskan bush. Ami Brown's lung cancer diagnosis was the catalyst for the family's move to Washington State. Due to the relocation, the show has changed.
Previously, the Brown family’s goal was to remove themselves from society and culture, going months without coming in contact with other humans. However, those priorities seem to have changed, and this is making viewers question the authenticity of Alaskan Bush People. The family’s oldest son Matt Brown went into rehab, while Bam had a romantic relationship with a producer. Plus, Bear's baby mama, Raiven Adams, took to Instagram Live to claim only 10 percent of the show is real. She also revealed that only Rain and Bird lived on the mountain, in trailers. In addition, she alleged that none of the siblings like one another. Other Alaskan Bush People secrets have come to light, exposing the fact that the family’s original property was just a half-mile from a pizza place. Also, Noah’s love interest was an actress, and the family has been spotted staying at a hotel instead of on their homestead.
Now, Distractify reports that Ami and Billy live in a $2.7 million mansion in Beverly Hills, which is actually pretty cheap for the area. However, it’s still pricey for a family that claims to live off the land. The home, which was built in 1976, boasts 3,382 square feet of renovated and modernized luxury. It comes with five bedrooms and four bathrooms, including a master suite with a small jacuzzi. The master bedroom also features vaulted ceilings. All bathrooms have floor-to-ceiling shower doors made from gray marble and frosted glass, which accentuate the home’s rich feel. The kitchen appears to be state-of-the-art, with granite countertops and an island. The expansive backyard features an in-ground pool and a hot tub, plus tall trees and shrubbery for privacy.
The property is located in the Beverly Glen area of Beverly Hills, so it’s just minutes from UCLA Medical Center. The home may have been purchased to facilitate Ami’s cancer treatments. This wouldn’t be the first time the family moved due to Ami’s battle with lung cancer. They originally transferred to the Pacific Northwest to take care of the mother Brown.
It’s also not the first time the family has been seen living in a mansion. Prior to this purchase, the Browns from Alaskan Bush People lived in a rental mansion, which has been featured on the show. If the Browns are no longer living in the wilderness, it would be interesting for the show to capture the transition to regular society, instead of pretending it’s not happening.
