The developers of Microsoft Flight Simulator have teased a future update looking to improve the simulation of the United States. The beloved flight game recently released a world update for the region of Japan, which added new airports and redesigned and improved a few culturally significant landmarks, like Himeji Castle and Mount Fuji.

The next thing coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator is a world update for the United States, which will likely include many similar upgrades to the ones featured in the Japan update. Not many details were shared, but Neuman hinted that the Digital Elevation Model that will be used is "crazy good." The studio has also established that these updates will roll out every two to three months.
Glitches notwithstanding, Microsoft Flight Simulator was already an impressive title when it launched. Its robust and in-depth simulation has opened up a lot of freedom for fans, who've used the game to do a lot of crazy things. Someone used the game's live weather tracking mode to explore the devastating Hurricane Laura, for instance.
