90 Day Fiancé: Paul Confirms Reunion With Karine, Plans to Pursue Dual Citizenship

Paul Staehle and Karine Martins of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After are officially back together. The married couple recently went through a separation after a heated public breakdown.

In recent months, Paul has documented the entire downfall of his relationship on social media. After explosive fights between him and his wife, Karine called the cops, accused him of domestic violence, and filed a restraining order against Paul. Karine left the home they shared to stay with a fan in the United States. Soon after, Paul revealed he flew to Karine’s home country of Brazil to fix up the home Karine would stay in with their son, Pierre. The trip seemed odd because the couple was allegedly on the brink of divorce. But Karine was also pregnant with their second child.

To finally put the rumors to bed, Paul revealed the two were officially back together in a live interview with John Yates. But while they may not be arguing anymore, Paul wouldn’t say the two are “happy” again. However, their new living arrangement reunited in the same household isn't permanent. Karine will soon move back to Brazil so she can have their second child with the support of her family. While Paul is currently in the United States, he plans to spend more time in Brazil. Going forward, Paul will be cognizant of the moments when his wife needs space. Paul will have a place in the United States and in Brazil so Karine can have the space she needs when she needs it. Check out the hour-long interview for yourself below:

Paul also plans for him and his wife to pursue dual citizenship in the coming years. Paul enjoys living in Brazil and plans to purchase the home he’s renting right now. As he learns more Portuguese, he wants to acquire Brazilian citizenship, along with retaining his American citizenship. He also wants to move back to the United States with his wife in the future so she can pursue full American citizenship. While Karine enjoys living in Brazil, Paul revealed it’s not always the safest for her. Because she’s a woman, she’s more likely to be targeted by thieves and drug cartel members.

Hopefully, the pair will be able to mend their relationship going forward. Paul is seeing two therapists to work through his own issues and is giving Karine the space she needs to work through her issues. It’s clear he loves his wife very much and wants to keep his family together. After all of this drama, they may achieve their true happily ever after.
