Former Real Housewives of New York star Dorinda Medley adjusted to her sea legs with friend and former co-star Bethenny Frankel. The two shared a day out boating in Greenwich, Connecticut after Medley's firing from the hit Bravo series. The fun, sunny day looked like a dream.
As viewers know, Medley was fired from the RHONY cast earlier this month after being described as a "mean drunk." The star was reportedly rude to other cast members and was labeled a "nightmare" by the behind-the-scenes crew, with one producer flat out refusing to work with her. Although Medley claims she was "blindsided" by the news, it seems there were some consistent behavioral issues that led to her dismissal. Considering Frankel has already faced her own exit from RHONY, maybe the two got together to commiserate on the subject.
In the wake of her firing, the fashionista spent a day on the water. Medley took to her Instagram story to share a video of the boating crew, which included both Frankel and her boyfriend Paul Bernon. The founder of SkinnyGirl, Frankel also shared plenty of photos to her own story, including Medley sitting with Bernon and a boomerang video of Medley jumping into the water in a cute and fashionable blue sundress. The two former leading ladies of RHONY have supported each other and been friends for quite some time. When Frankel made her exit last year, Medley was saddened and claimed she wanted to cry upon hearing the news. Frankel similarly was sad about Medley's departure from the show, but wished her well on social media, making sure to hint at her signature style by stating, "don't let anyone or anything dull your sparkle," and also mentioning that she "will be missed."
The last season of Real Housewives of New York had many twists and turns with the firing of Medley. While she was initially shocked, she seems pretty comfortable living the no-cameras life. Well, except her own cell phone camera maybe. Will Medley get a chance to come back to the show? Will she make a small appearance next season? Only time will tell, but at this point in the game, she seems pretty happy just spending her days with good company.
