Mandalorian Season 2 Full List of Directors Confirmed

The full list of directors for season two of The Mandalorian has been confirmed ahead of its premiere. The Mandalorian premiered on Disney+ in November 2019 as the streaming service's flagship original series, to instant critical acclaim and popularity. The live-action Star Wars series was praised for its action-packed scenes and tightly-constructed plot. However, it was the Child/Baby Yoda that dominated much of the conversation surrounding the show.

Luckily for fans, Baby Yoda will be back in The Mandalorian season 2, along with Pedro Pascal as the show's titular bounty hunter, and Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, the series' main antagonist. Additionally, Rosario Dawson has been cast in the series and is rumored to be playing Ahsoka Tano, a fan-favorite character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars that has yet to be portrayed in live-action form. The Mandalorian's first season wasn't just acclaimed for the work of its cast either, but for the contributions of the several talented directors behind the season's episodes.

Favreau has a long resumé with Disney-related properties, in addition to writing most of The Mandalorian season 1, and his inclusion is sure to excite fans. Robert Rodriguez is another inclusion that will likely generate some excitement as well. Known for his work as a genre filmmaker, Rodriguez will no doubt add an exciting perspective to the series. The work of all the directors was already glimpsed earlier this week too, with the release of the first trailer for The Mandalorian season 2.
