Jennifer Garner Finished The Office & Her Reaction Is Super Relatable

Jennifer Garner just finished watching The Office, and her reaction should look familiar to fans of the series. The Office ran for nine seasons on NBC and has been off the air since 2013. However, the workplace sitcom remains one of the most beloved and most watched shows in the history of television. This is especially true as it continues to be one of the most streamed series on Netflix, at least until The Office makes the move to NBC's streaming platform Peacock next year.

The Office's finale aired on May 16, 2013. The highly anticipated episode had an audience of over 5 million viewers, an impressive feat for the show considering its regular viewership. While many will admit The Office's quality decreased significantly after the departure of the defining lead Michael Scott in season 7, the finale was met with great acclaim. Many felt the hour-long episode was incredibly heartfelt, as it wrapped up the characters' stories effectively and even featured a brief but sweet cameo from the world's best boss.

One person the finale touched is Garner, who posted her emotional reaction to the finale on Instagram. In the uploaded video, Garner is seen hysterically crying in hilarious slow motion. Her tears are accompanied by a voice-over revealing she and her kids just finished watching the iconic series. Garner explained, "It's nice to know you can still feel so much passion about something." However, she also poked fun at her reaction, joking, "Look who needed a big cry. And maybe a shower would've been helpful. The Office stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey commented on Garner's post, inviting her to join them as they rewatch the show for their podcast. Garner joins the millions of people who have been watching and rewatching shows nonstop since the coronavirus pandemic forced most to stay safe at home. Many have had more time on their hands than usual, thanks to social events being cancelled or postponed. This is also true of those working in the entertainment industry like Garner. Most movies and TV shows are still shut down, leaving those working in Hollywood in a similar situation as most Americans.

Even as people return to work and activities outside the home, many will still likely rely on already concluded shows to binge. Usually, TV enthusiasts look forward to their favorite shows coming back in the fall, but that won't be the case for many series this year. It makes sense some will instead turn to older shows to binge, perhaps even ones they've seen before. Garner's emotional reaction to The Office proves even a show that ended several years ago can still have an impact on viewers.
