Recent fan art imagines DC's various Batman characters coming together for Flashpoint. The storyline is one of DC's most popular, exploring what happens when Barry Allen/The Flash goes back in time to save his mom's life. Flashpoint has already been used on The CW's The Flash, but soon audiences will see it play out in the DC Extended Universe; the upcoming Flash movie starring Ezra Miller will adapt the storyline in some way. Batman is a key character in Flashpoint, with Barry meeting Bruce Wayne's father, Thomas, who has become the caped crusader. For his part, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who has played Thomas in the DCEU, has voiced his interest in playing Flashpoint Batman. Unfortunately, his character reportedly isn't in the current script for The Flash.
However, the film will include at least one Batman: Michael Keaton's version from the Tim Burton movies. Last month, it was revealed he was in talks to reprise his role and could possibly appear in the Batgirl movie as well. Keaton will play the same Batman he did before, which will likely be made possible by the Flashpoint storyline. Meanwhile, the DCEU's main Batman is in a state of transition, as Ben Affleck, who starred as the Dark Knight in Zack Snyder's films, has exited the franchise. However, Robert Pattinson will pick up the mantle for next year's The Batman.
Though only Keaton's Batman is likely to appear in The Flash at this time, new fan art imagines otherwise. An image by artist spdrmnkyxxiii places DC's various movie Batmen together in a Flashpoint scenario. Keaton, Affleck, and Pattinson's characters all appear, as does Flashpoint Batman. Miller's Flash is present as well. This makes sense, as he's the center of the storyline and star of the film. Check out the Flashpoint art below:
Though it's unlikely all of these Batmen will appear in The Flash movie, it's neat to see what it would look like if they did. The art also highlights the endless opportunities available thanks to the Flashpoint storyline. Before, it would have been impossible to logically include Keaton's Batman in the DCEU, but now it just makes sense. Hopefully, The Flash movie will take advantage of other opportunities as well, sending the franchise in a brand-new direction.
Of all the Batmen included in the Flashpoint fan art, it seems least likely Affleck will make an appearance. He's made it clear he's moved on from the character, though he will be seen again in the Snyder Cut of Justice League next year. For now, DCEU fans will have to settle for this image imagining what his Flashpoint return, accompanied by DC's other Batman characters, would look like.
