Too Hot To Handle Cast Focuses On Self-Promotion on Mother's Day

On Mother's Day, much of the Too Hot To Handle cast was more focused on posting sexy pictures to get their follower count up than celebrating Mother's Day. Much of the photos posted Sunday were of themselves looking good.

Each of the contestants on Too Hot To Handle went on the show looking for more Instagram followers. Some, to their surprise, found love. Francesca Farago told me in an interview after the show that she hadn't expected to fall in love. Now, she's engaged to Harry Jowsey. Sharron Townsend was comparing his penis to an air freshener before Rhonda Paul swept him off his feet. Even though some made love connections, they never took their eye off the prize. And no, I'm not talking about the $7,500 apiece that they each walked away with, before taxes. The greatest gift they received was an ability to make even more money as social media influencers. That being said, holidays like Mother's Day is just another day to promote their content and gain a following on Instagram, TikTok and other platforms.

Kori Sampson, who made a name for himself on Too Hot To Handle as the guy least interested in finding a serious relationship, posted himself singing a song in his car on Instagram on Sunday with the caption, "nearly at 100k followers" on TikTok. Kelz shared a photo of himself sitting on a pool table, and captioned the photo, "I got it right now, so I'm everybody's friend." He added #theaccountant, a nod to his nickname on the show.

Francesca, who talked to me about how blown away she was to eclipse a million followers less than three weeks ago, posted Sunday how grateful she was to reach four million followers. In fact, Sharron was one of the only ones who seemed to realize it was a holiday. He wrote, "Today is my Birthday and I feel so blessed and grateful to see 27 years old." Still no acknowledgement of Mother's Day.

These social media influencers can post whatever they want to gain followers, but it's interesting that none of them thought it prudent to give a shout out to their mothers on this special day. Moms deserve love too, even if they might not be as active on social media. Fortunately, one of the cast members is already a mother. Rhonda Paul posted a photo with her son, Amare. Harry responded to the post with, "Happy Mother's Day" and others, like Lydia Clyma, Chloe Veitch and Nicole O'Brien chimed in with their well wishes as well.
