Danielle Drouin Says Love Is Blind Cast Close, Sees Lauren & Cameron At Gym Often

Many Love is Blind fans may not realize that the singles on season 1 all came from Atlanta. This made some connections prior to being on the show possible. For example, Kelly Chase and Jessica Batten knew each other for ten years before both appearing on the show.

The world of Love is Blind is very small and became smaller once everyone became friends while on the show. The contestants seem to regularly see each other at events, or just living their everyday life. This can make things awkward if there is a known feud going on.

Screen Rant spoke to Danielle Drouin about her experience on Love Is Blind and life after it. We already dug deep into her past with Rory Newbrough and their broken engagement, and her romance with Matt Thomas, which also had a dramatic ending. She shared that her experience on Love is Blind caused a lot of positive things to enter her life. One of those things is the close bonds that she formed with the other contestants. She revealed:

It’s crazy, because not only were we building these relationships with the men but everyone is so close. Everyone who was on the show is so close. We’re all such close friends. We have a big group chat going. We see each other often. Lauren and Cameron actually live down the street from me and I see them at the gym like all the time. It’s crazy. Yeah, we all keep in touch. I talk to Lexie and Giannina all the time. We’re all close. I just saw a big group of them when we went out about a week and a half ago.

Danielle also shared:

Everyone is so great. We really formed friendships for the rest of our lives. On the girl’s side, we had nothing else to do in between but get to know each other. We became like sisters. It was like a sorority. We truly became like sisters. Some of them know things about me that friends I’ve had my whole life don’t even know.

This interview was  done before everyone officially went into quarantine, so the former Love is Blind contestants probably don't physically interact that much anymore, but they likely still communicate through texts and such. Besides the ones mentioned, Danielle also shared that now that things have healed between her and Matt, they regularly did yoga together (until quarantine happened). She also mentioned that she now lives close to Rory, saying:

He actually only lives ten minutes from me. He actually moved. He changed his whole life. He quit his life and moved closer to the city. So we’re really close and real cool right now.

It's nice to see that so many of the Love is Blind cast members still keep in touch and hang out.
