Tesla Cyberwhistle Is A $50 Trinket For Cybertruck Connoisseurs

Tesla — the trillion-dollar automobile brand that makes arguably the world's best electric cars — is now selling a whistle inspired by its Cybertruck that goes by the fitting name of Cyberwhistle. Now, Tesla is no stranger to selling products that have little to do with what the company does best. For example, in 2018, Tesla partnered with a small brand to make a surfboard that cost $1,500 but produced only 200 units to send home the 'limited edition' message for Tesla fans.

The company then tried its hands at the fashion business with the Tesla Short Shorts. The item was everything the name says, and it sold at a rather odd asking price of $69.420 in the U.S. The Elon Musk-led company sells some normal gear too, such as the Desktop Supercharger, a power bank, stainless steel water bottle, hats and shirts. Tesla, yet again, is returning to the weird side of accessory-making.

Announced by the 'Technoking' Musk himself on his favorite rambling platform that is Twitter, the latest Tesla offering is the Cyberwhistle. One look at the item is enough to understand that it is a whistle shaped after the Cybertruck. The price has been set at $50, but it is currently out of stock on the Tesla website. However, it might realistically ship to customers sooner than the Cyvbertruck. Why any sane adult would want to buy a Cybertruck-shaped whistle is a mystery worth debating in the dark corners of Reddit, but there is some juicy corporate rivalry drama here.

Musk's tweet advises his followers (and everyone else lending an ear) not to buy the "silly Apple cloth" and choose the clever Tesla Cyberwhistle instead. The silly Apple cloth in question is the Polishing Cloth that Apple sells for $19. Of course, $19 is an outrageous amount to pay for a piece of fabric to clean devices. But then, it is only fitting to wipe smudges off an expensive MacBook with a cloth that suits its premium aura. Coming to reason, though, The Wall Street Journal has tried to make some sense as to why Apple chose the $19 price tag after talking with marketing experts, and it is pretty enlightening. Why Tesla chose $50 as the asking price for its Cyberwhistle is anyone's guess since there are a few other numbers that Musk loves and often jokes about. However, $50 is not one of those unfortunate numbers.

Coming to the product itself, it's a whistle. A silly expensive whistle, to be precise. The product page proudly proclaims that it is made of medical-grade stainless steel and has a polished exterior. The Cyberwhistle deserves to be a must-have for every Cybertruck owner with sharp lines, sloping faces and edgy appeal. And as an excellent service to anyone who dares buy it, there is an "integrated attachment feature" on it. Tesla doesn't explain what those heavy words mean, but it most likely refers to a hook or any little contraption for attaching it to a strap or loop. But at least it can make a sound, unlike the Samsung earbuds case that looks like the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and does nothing.
