FFXIV: Endwalker Roadmap - When New Updates Are Releasing

To keep players excited and informed about Final Fantasy XIV, the developers created a roadmap for future updates and have released a new schedule for Endwalker. Transparency between the developers and players is what builds and keeps trust in FFXIV. The team has fortified this trust throughout the years by showing players what to expect in future content. The Endwalker roadmap shows exciting adventures awaiting new and returning players while revitalizing the gameplay of FFXIV.

Each expansion comes with numerous changes, including job modifications, new dungeons, raids, stories, characters, and glamours. Players can expect many more updates to be released in the future as well. Entire mechanics from a job can be altered upon expansion release. Before FFXIV: Shadowbringers came out, Bards relied on critical hits to trigger effects in some of their songs, but now a flat percent chance determines the additional effects. The game is constantly being tweaked and refined into a better product. Endwalker is continuing to add new content and now fans have an idea of what to expect with the roadmap.

While exact release dates for everything coming in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker have not been posted, Game Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida did lay out some of the dates for content in the works. The Moogle Treasure Trove event is currently ongoing and will continue until Patch 6.0. Players can exchange Irregular Tomestones of Lore dropped in duties for special rewards, such as the Auspicious Kamuy Fife to summon the Auspicious Kamuy mount. On December 3, 2021, Patch 6.0 and Endwalker's early access will be available, while the full start date of the expansion is on December 7, 2021.

Later that same month on December 21, Patch 6.01 drops with the normal difficulty of the new Pandaemonium raid. January 4, 2022, marks the big release of Patch 6.05 which includes: Savage difficulty for the Pandaemonium raid, new Allagan Tomestones on Astronomy, and a new treasure map dungeon called The Excitatron 6000. This means the release date for new updates in FFXIV: Endwalker are currently:

  • FFXIV: Endwalker Early Access - December 3, 2021
  • FFXIV: Endwalker official release date - December 7, 2021
  • FFXIV: Endwalker Patch 6.01 release date - December 21, 2021
  • FFXIV: Endwalker Patch 6.05 release date - January 4, 2022

According to The Lodestone, The Starlight Celebration and Heavensturn events in FFXIV are scheduled to be held during their usual times each year. This means that The Starlight Celebration will start around the middle of December to about the 31. Heavensturn will be held around December 31 to the middle of January. The All Saints' Wake event was also recently announced to be pushed back to late January.

FFXIV is filled with content to keep fans happily playing for hours on end, but once FFXIVEndwalker officially launches, the game will gain even more fascinating content, including stories that will detail the end of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark conflict. The story that has served as the main plot of Final Fantasy XIV since the beginning will finish allowing for a new adventure to unfold for future updates and patches.
