Living in a place as bizarre and dangerous as Riverdale, these characters have experienced more than their fair share of life and death situations. Their dealings with multiple serial killers, murder cover-ups, and underground organizations would serve them very effectively as training for Squid Game, making most of them highly competitive contestants.
Some characters have strong moral compasses like Seong Gi-hun or Abdul Ali, some would do anything to win like Cho Sang-woo and others would just worship the chaos that ensues in Squid Game like Jang Deok-su or Oh Il-nam. But which Riverdale character would win and who would barely make it past the first round? Just like in Riverdale, anything can happen in Squid Game.
10 Toni Topaz
One of the best newer characters in Riverdale, Toni is no stranger to rivalry and violence as a member of The Serpents. She is also quick, strategic, and observant which means Squid Game would play to a number of her strengths.
However, Toni is nothing if not strong-willed, just, and defiant. She would most likely flat out refuse to play in an attempt to fight for fairness and justice. Of course, although she may think she is being brave and judicious, she would actually just be eliminated in Red Light, Green Light for not playing.
9 Kevin Keller
Kevin has many good qualities: he is kind, a good friend, and generally an all-around decent human being. However, he does not have much self-confidence and can get very flustered during times of stress or ambiguity, leading him to do brash or senseless things (fans remember the times he joined 'The Farm' and Cheryl's cult).
Kevin's nervous disposition would leave him unable to stay level-headed. The Honeycomb Shapes round requires a very steady hand but Kevin would most likely get flustered and break his honeycomb, getting himself eliminated in the second round.
8 Reggie Mantle
This Riverdale character blurs the boundaries between being heroic and villainous, giving him a moral adaptability that would come in handy in Squid Game similar to Cho Sang-woo. His background in football and business makes Reggie athletic and strong as well as giving him a cunning and strategic edge, meaning he has the capabilities to go far in Squid Game.
However, Reggie does have a habit of forming dodgy alliances and would most likely end up as Hiram's henchman during Squid Game, quickly alienating other contestants. Reggie would likely get taken out while defending Hiram in the fight in the dorm.
7 Penelope Blossom
Penelope is a mysterious character, who has taken part in numerous criminal activities. She is not concerned with what is right and what is wrong, nor is she concerned for anyone other than herself. These qualities would be beneficial in Squid Game, and she would most likely play like Han Mi-nyeo, manipulating and coercing others into helping her.
However, just like Han Mi-nyeo, any allies she made would be fickle and she would be shunned when choosing teams for Tug of War, ending up on a weak team and being eliminated.
6 Archie Andrews
This character's resume would certainly make him a very strong contestant - as an ex-football player, ex-boxer, high school football coach, and Army Sergeant, as well as time in jail, Archie's had the ideal training for Squid Game. His high level of athleticism and determination would certainly come in handy during Red Light, Green Light, the fight in the dorm, and Tug of War.
However, Archie's moral compass allows him to do no wrong. As one of the truest friends in Riverdale, Archie's hero complex would certainly have him giving away his marbles to save one of his friends' lives.
5 Cheryl Blossom
Cheryl's smart, cunning and manipulative nature could have her going all the way in Squid Game. She would play tactically: making allies and constantly thinking about what could be coming up next. However, this character's behavior can be somewhat erratic and she does find herself in emotional turmoil fairly often.
After Toni and her mother are eliminated, she would probably despair and recognize that others have more important things to live for than she does. Much like Ji-yeong, she would forfeit her marbles in one of Cheryl's rare moments of altruism.
4 Veronica Lodge
Veronica's high level of intelligence (as well as her strong skills of manipulation) would certainly make her a strong competitor. Although Veronica has demonstrated some athleticism as a former cheerleader, it is her cunning and competitive nature that could be attributed to her success in Squid Game.
However, Veronica is known for putting herself first and being incredibly self-assured (sometimes even narcissistic), which is likely to be her downfall. She would choose one of the low numbers (probably number 1) in Glass Hopscotch, meaning she would be the first to cross.
3 Jughead Jones
Jughead is highly intelligent and strategic, not to mention he was the leader of a gang for a while. Although he does care about right and wrong, he leans more towards justice than he does kindness. Jughead can also be reckless and self-sabotaging, and he would probably play in a haphazard way similar to Seong Gi-hun, making it through the rounds by the skin of his teeth.
Although Jughead would go far in the games, a brash and impulsive gamble in Glass Hopscotch would probably be his downfall.
2 Hiram Lodge
Hiram cares very little about morality (sometimes it even seems as if he does the wrong thing on purpose to be provocative). He values himself above all others and would be ruthless in Squid Game, killing others without remorse. In fact, it would be no surprise if Hiram was the rich man who orchestrated Squid Game for fun, much like Oh Il-nam (it is pretty similar to the time he had an illegal fighting ring in his jail).
However, although Hiram would get to the final round, there is one character who always comes out on top in Riverdale.
1 Betty Cooper
As an FBI agent who has tracked down numerous serial killers, Betty has excellent training for Squid Game. She is athletic, competitive and intelligent, always coming up with strategies and knowing what to do next. Although Betty is a very likable character who tries to fight on the side of good, she definitely has something inside her that is willing to do bad things to those she believes deserve it.
Although Betty would certainly win Squid Game, 'Dark Betty' would probably do some morally questionable things along the way.
