Elliot Page Shows Off His Six-Pack In New Shirtless Mirror Selfie

Elliot Page shows off his six-pack in a new shirtless mirror selfie. The Umbrella Academy star and Academy Award-nominated actor for Juno came out as transgender in an open letter about one year ago. As one of the highest-profile stars to come out publicly as trans, the announcement made waves worldwide. The reception was primarily positive and later that month, Page thanked fans for their love and support with his first selfie since coming out.

After first gaining recognition in the Canadian television series Pit Pony during the late 1990s, one of Page's early seminal film roles came in 2005's Hard Candy in which he played a teenage vigilante who exposes a sexual predator. Page soon followed that up with his well-known role as Kitty Pryde in X-Men: The Last Stand and an Oscar-nominated performance in Juno as an offbeat teenager coping with an unplanned pregnancy. Page also gained further prominence as Leonardo DiCaprio's protégé in Christopher Nolan's mind-bending blockbuster, Inception. Page now stars on Netflix's Umbrella Academy as the violinist Vanya Hargreeves.

Now, Page is sharing another photo on Instagram, this time showing off his six-pack abs in a shirtless mirror selfie cheekily captioned, "Oh good my new phone works." The actor posted the photo to social media on November 28, coming up on the one-year anniversary of his open letter. As usual, Page's post garnered support from fans and friends, including his Freehold co-star Julianne Moore, who commented on the selfie. See the photo below:

Since coming out as transgender, Page has shared a lot about what the experience has been like, especially during a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey on her Apple TV+ show, The Oprah Conversation. During the sit down, the actor opened up about his transition surgery, saying it saved his life and allowed him to feel comfortable in his own skin for the first time. Oprah herself was nervous about the interview, wanting to ensure that she got the conversation surrounding trans identity right.

It will be interesting to see what direction Page's acting career takes now that he is fully comfortable in his body. He has recently taken on some voice acting roles in titles like Naya Legend of the Golden DolphinRobodog, and ARK: The Animated Series, though many are anticipating his return to live-action in season 3 of The Umbrella Academy, which will premiere sometime early next year. Page's performance in the show will undoubtedly mark another major milestone for the actor.
