Following his Dancing With The Stars elimination Monday night, country singer Jimmie Allen is "glad" he never has to dance again. Jimmie and his professional partner Emma Slater were one of two couples eliminated during Monday night's double elimination. The duo found themselves in the bottom two alongside Melora Hardin and Artem Chigvintsev.
The three judges ultimately decided to save Melora and Artem over Jimmie and Emma. Luckily for viewers, the elimination did not need to use Len Goodman's controversial final decision vote. Despite being eliminated, Jimmie and Emma had improved inside the ballroom each week. Many viewers were shocked that they had not only ended up in the bottom two earlier this week but that the judges did not choose to save them. Prior to their elimination, Olivia Jade Giannulli and Val Chmerkovskiy were sent home as well.
Now that Jimmie is officially done with the competition, he is "glad" that he never has to dance again. According to iHeart, Jimmie exclaimed that he is happy to be done dancing following his elimination Monday. He said, "I love being in the ballroom, but I'm just glad I don't have to dance anymore! I'm done!" Despite this, Jimmie is very grateful for the experience he had as well as everything he has learned from his partner Emma. The day following his elimination, Jimmie went on Instagram live to share more thoughts about his experience on the show. He described his time on the show as being "super dope." Going into the competition, Jimmie's main goal was to make it to Disney Night, which also featured a double elimination.
Jimmie learned a lot from his time spent inside the ballroom. He has a newfound appreciation for the time and effort the professional dancers put into their work. In addition to this, Jimmie was extra grateful for Emma who put up with his busy and crazy schedule throughout the competition. In the midst of rehearsing for their new dance each week, Jimmie was still working hard in the studio while also traveling for radio interviews. In order to ensure they had ample rehearsal time, Emma would travel with Jimmie. If this was not enough craziness for one Dancing With The Stars duo, Jimmie's wife Alexis Gale gave birth to their second child during his time on the show. In fact, she was already dilated while Jimmie was performing in the ballroom.
Despite recently being eliminated, Jimmie is happy for all of the remaining couples. He is excited to return to the ballroom in a few short weeks for the season finale during which he will be reunited with his former co-stars. Until then, Jimmie will have his hands full catching up on work and spending time with his family.
Dancing With The Stars airs Mondays at 8pm EST on ABC.
