10 Best New Movies To Watch On Peacock For November 2021

Streaming service Peacock, like all new streaming platforms, has sought to provide a wide selection of content for its audience, balancing existing titles with new content. Peacock has a wide variety of movies ready to launch throughout the month of November, covering a wide variety of genres from comedy to musicals and everything in between.

With a host of classic titles including Billy Madison and Goodfellas as well as the original flick Psych 3, there is sure to be something on the streaming service for anyone looking for an entertaining viewing experience.

As a giant in the world of comedy, Adam Sandler has numerous strong roles under his belt. Billy Madison is one of many classic entries in his filmography and is very much a product of the '90s when Sandler was at the height of his popularity.

He is in fine form in his role as the title character, the spoiled and foolish son of a hotel magnate. Though the plot is predictable, particularly from a 2021 perspective, Sandler’s charm more than makes up for it, and the movie’s humor still holds up remarkably well.

Across the Atlantic, Rowan Atkinson has established a venerable career as one of the UK’s finest comedians. His filmography includes starring in a number of movies focused on his iconic character, Mr. Bean.

In Mr. Bean's Holiday, he is a source of nonstop chaos and slapstick hilarity as he sets out on a vacation to France. There’s no denying that Atkinson is as masterful as ever, endowing his bumbling character with a unique charm that, even now, is impossible to resist.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind features a stellar cast, including Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet, Mark Ruffalo, and Kirsten Dunst. Eternal Sunshine is one of Jim Carrey's best dramatic roles and like many movies of the early 2000s, it's a blend of several different genres, including science fiction and romance.

Though its nonlinear narrative can be hard to follow at times, it is still a remarkably moving film that explores what it means to truly love and remember someone.

John Waters is a director with a very distinct style that is all his own. While infamous for producing movies that push boundaries of taste (and what can be shown on screen), he has also directed more mainstream flicks. Cry-Baby is more of the latter, and it focuses on two teenage rebels from opposing groups who fall in love with one another.

It is notable for Johnny Depp’s performance, which deliberately pokes fun at the pinup image he had cultivated throughout the 1980s.

Dallas Buyers Club is a haunting movie about the AIDS crisis, focusing in particular on the character of Ron Woodroof. After being diagnosed with the disease, Woodroof sets out to bring experimental drugs to Texas for both himself and his fellow patients, even though that puts him at loggerheads with organizations such as the Food and Drug Administration.

The movie succeeds in large part because of the powerful portrayals of the characters, which includes one of Matthew McConaughey's best-ever roles. The film showcases the human heart at one of the most traumatizing public health crises of the 20th century.

The Deer Hunter is widely regarded as a must-see war movie, focusing as it does on the impact of the Vietnam War and its aftermath in a small town.

In addition to its searing story - which highlights the devastating impact of the war - it also features powerful performances from an all-star cast, including Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken, and Meryl Streep. It continues to divide critics as to its quality, but it still makes for a moving viewing experience.

Julian Fellowes created a true international hit with the series Downton Abbey, which follows the aristocratic Crawley family as they contend with both the upheavals of modernity and the numerous family dramas that crop up at the titular estate. The movie continues the story, though this time the entire family must prepare for the arrival of the King and Queen.

It’s as beautifully done as the series, and there are several genuinely heartwarming (and heartbreaking) moments that fans will enjoy.

E.T. is, of course, one of the best science fiction movies ever made, and it is responsible for several phrases that still remain part of the popular lexicon.

However, while it is still very much a 1980s movie, it has all of the magic that one expects from a Spielberg movie. The funny-looking titular creature still manages to cast a spell, even nearly 40 years after the movie first entered theaters.

Goodfellas is a perenially popular gangster movie, focusing on the dynamics of family, loyalty, violence, and organized crime and how these can reshape people’s lives in ways that they don’t expect.

Directed by Martin Scorcese, it is often regarded as both one of his best movies and one of the best crime movies of all time. It also features an all-star cast who would become synonymous with the genre, including Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci, and Paul Sorvino.

In addition to the many existing movies that Peacock is set to make available during the month of November, the streaming platform also plans to release Psych 3: This is Gus, the newest entry in the Psych comedy franchise. This new installment, like its predecessor Psych 2: Lassie Coming Home, is a Peacock original production.

The usual cast will return for the movie and, given the quirky comedy style of the series, the movie is sure to be equally hilarious.
