The Flash: 10 Versions Of Batman That Could Appear In The DCEU Film

The Flash has already teased the return of Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton's iterations of Batman. With the signal flying high in the Multiverse, there's no telling what other versions of the Caped Crusader could be returning to screen in all their glory.

Whether they are a fan favorite or just make sense in the larger picture, these characters have a genuine possibility of showing up in this live-action spectacle. The Flashpoint narrative probably won't hold back when it comes to jumping into different realities, which certainly opens the doors for fun cameos.

10 The Batman (2022)

Robert Pattison is the next actor lined up to portray the Dark Knight and fans are eagerly anticipating his Batman debut after the recently released trailer. This appears to be a slightly grittier take on the character, but DC is likely banking on The Batman becoming a major success.

With Pattison's version of Batman perhaps signifying the future of the franchise, it's possible that Warner Bros. will want to bring him into the larger Multiverse. A quick cameo in Flashpoint would establish this iteration of the character firmly for the audience.

9 Gotham (2014-2019)

Gotham became a bit of a cult hit amongst fans. Its intriguing portrayal of well-known DC villains garnered a lot of praise, but it's the origins of Bruce Wayne himself that the series really focused on. David Mazouz gave audiences a very nuanced and young version of Batman.

The series ended with the vigilante finally picking up the cowl and viewers haven't seen anything from the character since. He would certainly be a welcome addition to The Flash, to show movie-goers just how diverse the Multiverse really is. The youthful Wayne would also be a great counterpoint to the veteran crime fighters.

8 Batwoman (2019)

The Arrowverse, and by extension Batwomanhave their own version of Bruce Wayne, although he has appeared on screen very rarely. The character has been missing for a while and although Hans Warren Christie has been cast in the role, very little is known about this TV variation.

Perhaps the reason he has been missing for so long is that he has been lost in the Multiverse. The Flash might be a great way to launch the character, so that upon his return to the Arrowverse a star has really been made, worthy of the Batman title.

7 Crisis On Infinite Earths (2019-2020)

Crisis On Infinite Earths within the Arrowverse finally allowed Kevin Conroy to play a live-action version of Batman. He had spent most of his career voicing the character in animation and video games and it was great for fans to finally see him in the role on screen.

Although the character was killed within the course of the events, the changing Earth-Prime timeline could result in a comeback for Conroy's Bruce Wayne. If Flash is investigating Batmen of the past, there's perhaps none more iconic than Conroy's take on the character.

6 Dark Knight Trilogy (2005-2012)

The Dark Knight trilogy from Christopher Nolan featured some truly memorable versions of these Gotham City characters. Every scene of the Dark Knight trilogy was bursting with tension, with a realistic version of Batman portrayed by Christian Bale bringing real gravitas to the part.

It's perhaps one of the fans' favorite versions of the character, especially because of his heated rivalry with the late Heath Ledger's incredible Joker. A return to this world would be well-received and Flash might be the time to do that; if Bale is willing to don the cowl once more!

5 Batman Forever (1995)

Val Kilmer's take on Batman is potentially a little underrated but it's important to note that it was not an easy feat to take over from Michael Keaton in the role. His take on the Caped Crusader contained some of the same Gothic elements, but Kilmer put his own twist on the part.

If Keaton is returning to the role, then why not Kilmer? Although the chaos surrounding the production has gone down in infamy and the versions of Riddler and Two-Face are almost laughable, The Flash might be an opportunity to give Kilmer another go in the Batmobile.

4 Gotham By Gaslight (2018)

Gotham By Gaslight is an animated movie inspired by the original 1980s comic which saw the Dark Knight live in a steampunk-esque era, where crime in Gotham might have been at an all-time high. Visually, the style of this narrative is beautifully designed.

If The Flash wishes to show the expanse of the Multiverse, then a quick trip to the Gotham By Gaslight continuity in live-action would be a fun nod to fans and a tease as to what DC could develop in the future. It would be a striking piece of cinematography, incomparable to other shots in the film. It was Bruce Greenwood who voiced the role for the animated feature and could portray the character in live-action.

3 Batman And Robin (1997)

Batman And Robin is easily one of the worst films that DC has ever produced. Full of terrible Batman and Robin quotes and one-liners, weakened by laughable performances and boasting an incomprehensible storyline, somehow the film has built up quite the following because of how bad it is.

For the fun of it alone, George Clooney should get some kind of cameo in The Flash as Batman, one last time. It would be a great nod for fans of the franchise and an opportunity for some comic relief, with Batman and maybe even some of his rogues bouncing off of Ezra Miller's Scarlet Speedster.

2 Titans (2018-)

DC's Titans is continuing to prove itself as a fantastic comic book TV show and the series isn't afraid to put their own versions of characters to screen. They jumped in head-first to their iteration of Bruce Wayne, who plays an important part in the Titan's lives.

Played by Iain Glen, some of the best episodes of Titans feature the experienced warrior offering up advice to Dick Grayson. The Flash is all about mentoring the next generation and this Bruce Wayne is perfectly equipped to do so!

1 Injustice (2013-2017)

The Injustice video game series is now getting adapted to animation after a great run in the comics. The version of Batman that fans are familiar with in this universe is a ruthless one trying to save humanity from the dictator Superman. It's an interesting premise and one that could have live-action implications.

A big-screen Injustice adaptation would definitely please fans and maybe this is the way to launch that. It's Kevin Conroy who once again lends his voice talents to the role, but perhaps a pre-existing actor could step into the Injustice story for some Multiverse mayhem.
