Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Aang Guide (Moveset, Tips, & Strategies)

Everyone’s favorite Avatar Aang is making his appearance in Nickelodeon’s All-Star Brawl. The adorable Airbender has a unique playstyle that reflects his element bending skills, making him stand out visually from other fighters. Thus, any players looking to try out Aang will want to get a sense of his moveset and combos before getting on the battlefield.

Aang’s abilities focus on performing air combos and moving around the arena quickly. His personalized stage, the Western Air Temple, reflects that perfectly, with five large platforms for Aang to jump between. Here’s Aang’s moveset, and how to use him to dominate opponents.

Like other characters in the game, Aang has a variety of Light attacks, Strong attacks, Air strong attacks, and Special moves. As an Airbender, his moves all incorporate his ability to manipulate air, leading to some vicious aerial attacks and combos once players get his controls down. However, Aang’s agility can be dangerous, so players should make sure they’re paying attention as to not shoot Aang off the stage by accident.

Aang’s basic Light attacks in All-Star Brawl include his Elbow Strike (Neutral), Swiping Wind Kick (Up), and Wind Chop (Down). Aang picks up his staff for his Light air attacks, which include the Staff Spin (Neutral), Aerial Swiping Wind Kick (Up), and Aerial Wind Chop (Down). His Light Dash is a Sliding Punch, which sends Aang sliding across the stage. Aang’s Light attacks are fast and can be performed quickly in succession, making simple ground and air combos easy.

Aang harnesses the power of wind and air to deal some serious damage with his Strong attacks. He can use a Tornado Strike (Neutral), Rising Wind Kick (Up), and Slashing Air Blades (Down). The majority of these attacks shoot opponents into the air and keep them there, making them great for setting up some debilitating combos.

Aang’s Strong air attacks are a great way to keep combos going after getting opponents into the air with the basic Strong attacks. His Sweeping Windmill Strike (Neutral) is best when within melee range, while his Whirlwind Punch (Up) and Aerial Slashing Air Blades (Down) fling enemies into the air. These moves are also great for recovery, helping Aang reposition himself in the air to ensure he doesn’t fall off the platform.

Aang’s Special Neutral attack in All-Star Brawl is the Spinning Staff, in which he whips his staff around rapidly to deal damage to nearby opponents. By holding the move, players can continuously spin Aang’s staff, dealing damage to any enemies that dare get close. If Aang’s damage is over 100%, this Neutral Special transforms into its Elemental State, allowing the move to do additional damage on impact.

Finally, Aang’s Special Up move is the Air Glide, while his Special Down is the Air Ball. These are agile moves that allow Aang to shoot up into the air (before slamming back down), or roll around the arena at high speeds in his air ball form. These moves allow Aang to travel across the stage fast, and deal damage to opponents.

Overall, Aang is a great character for All-Star Brawl players who enjoy fast-paced combat and large mobility in their fighters. Currently, Aang is considered an A-Tier character. While he lacks some of the hard-hitting strength required to KO opponents quickly, he makes up for it in his speed and combo abilities. Because of this, any All-Star Brawl players interested in playing Aang should definitely give him a chance!
