The Voice: Ariana Grande Reacts To The Coaches Being Afraid Of Her

Ariana Grande, the newest coach on The Voice, is reacting to the other coaches being afraid of her on The Kelly Clarkson Show. The international pop star is coaching contestants for the first time this season alongside Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton. Ariana admitted that coaching is a lot harder than she initially thought it would be, especially since she's the only coach in season 21 that doesn't have experience. That being said, Ariana is also loving being a coach and is surprised at the types of voices she's turning around for.

Not only does Ariana love being part of the show, but her fellow coach Kelly also seems to love having her there. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Kelly gushed about how funny and witty Ariana is. She also praised the fact that Ariana is very focused on vocal health, which is something the other coaches haven't really concentrated on in previous seasons. According to Kelly, the live audience gets the loudest when Ariana walks out, which is a testament to her huge fan base. It's great for fans to see two of the most successful women in the music industry, Ariana and Kelly, praising each other.

On her talk show, Kelly asked Ariana how she felt about the other coaches being scared of her. "Blake and John are terrified of you," Kelly said on The Kelly Clarkson Show, before showing a clip of John saying they're in trouble if Ariana's huge fan base shows up to vote. Blake, on the other hand, told Ariana and her fans to "bring it on." Kelly went on to say that after seeing the audience screaming for Ariana, she thought none of the other coaches had a chance at winning, while Ariana said, "I don't know that that's true." When Kelly responded by calling Ariana a "huge star," Ariana playfully came back with, "What are you talking about, Kelly Clarkson?"

While it's nice to see Ariana and Kelly being fans of each other, Blake is up for some healthy competition. The country singer said that he's looking forward to beating the "thank u, next" songstress and that she's going to be some tough competition. Based on the clip from Kelly's show, it seems like he's confident he's going to win this season. Whoever ends up coming out on top, even if it's not Ariana or Blake, it will be fun for fans to watch the two battle it out.

Ariana does have a huge, passionate fan base, so it will be interesting to see how that factors into her time as a coach. While Ariana is a fan-favorite, the other coaches have more experience on the show, so that could give them an advantage over her. At the end of the day, it really depends on the singers the coaches choose for their teams. Based on how Kelly says the audience reacts to Ariana, she might have the opportunity to choose the strongest performers for her team.

The Voice premieres September 20 at 8pm on ABC.
