As opposed to films, TV shows can tell a longer and deeper story. Numerous episodes allow for focus on a number of characters and villains in a short space of time. The characters depicted are often as powerful as their cinematic or comic counterparts.

10 Ben 10 (Ben 10)

Ben Tennyson has an alien technology on his wrist that allows him to transform into 10 different super-powered creatures. Anyone who watched Ben 10 in their childhood will understand how powerful he was. Ben took on some of the most powerful beings in the universe and regularly came out on top.

Ben is considered less powerful due to his inexperience and also due to the inconsistency of his watch. The premise of so many of Ben's fights is that his requested transformation doesn't happen which leaves him to adapt to the situation. His ability to adapt is admirable, however, he would be far more powerful with more control.

9 Starlight (The Boys)

Amazon's The Boys is a dark and twisted take on the potential reality of superheroes. Starlight, by contrast, is a relatively innocent character who possesses superhuman strength and durability. Her main power comes in the form of electricity absorption and there is no known limit to the amount of energy she could absorb and reuse as energy blasts.

Her power, however, does have limitations, as viewers have seen when she is not near an energy source. If she used her strength more effectively and was more battle-hardened, then she would truly be a force to be reckoned with.

8 Klaus (Umbrella Academy)

Klaus has a troubled history of substance abuse and, as a result, his powers are extremely dampened. However, when he is sober and has full control over his abilities, he is extremely powerful. His ability to converse with and channel the energy of the deceased makes him the most powerful of his siblings. This is evidenced when he channels Ben's monstrous form to help the Academy fight in 1963.

He also uses his powers to manifest dead American soldiers to help fight Soviet soldiers. Ultimately, he is able to save the world by materializing Ben in order to stop Vanya from destroying the FBI building. It is suggested that Klaus has only scratched the surface with regards to his abilities, yet even so, he is a powerful being whilst sober and in control.

7 Queen Maeve (The Boys)

Maeve borders between being a hero and a villain, but due to her actions in season 2 of The Boys, she qualifies as a hero. A similar character to Wonder Woman and with all the same abilities. She possesses superhuman strength and durability. Alongside this, Maeve has also been trained by Vought from a young age in martial arts and other fighting techniques. This makes her a formidable fighter.

Viewers see her strength demonstrated throughout the series, but also immediately in the first episode as she stands strong and stops a truck that is going full speed. She does also easily defeat Stormfront, who had just beaten Starlight and Kimiko. It is suggested that Homelander is one of the only characters who could defeat her, otherwise, she is one of the strongest characters in The Boys.

6 Robot (Invincible)

Robot's strength comes mostly from his supreme intelligence. He is the leader of the new Guardians and has the fighting abilities to match his genius level-intellect. Robot is a battle hardened pro and his leadership qualities make him a powerful ally.

5 Paragon (Jupiter's Legacy)

Paragon is the son of The Utopian. He struggles to come to terms with his father's moral code and the code of the Union of Justice. With most, if not all, of his father's powers, Paragon is immediately one of the most powerful heroes to exist. He has super strength, flight, and super speed.

His weakness only comes through a lack of experience. However, he does demonstrate his considerable power when he kills Blackstar's clone in a fit of rage. This proves that Paragon could potentially be more powerful than his father, however, The Utopian possesses such strength but is more restrained than his son.

4 Clark Kent (Smallville)

It's clear that Smallville was ahead of its time in so many ways. It was one of the first TV shows to really capitalize upon focusing on the potential realism of super-powered individuals and how they would live.

Clark Kent, before he becomes the famous Man of Steel, possesses all of the Kryptonian's abilities. As the series progresses he gains and controls those abilities better. His biggest weakness comes from his fallibility and human error. For this reason, and this reason only, Clark Kent is not at the top of this list.

3 Invincible (Invincible)

Viltrumites are the most feared and relentless species in the whole universe, and Invincible is half-viltrumite. His physical strength and abilities come from that side. He may have been defeated by Omni-Man, however, it has to be remembered that Invincible is still coming to grips with his powers and is restrained by his love and respect of his father. As Invincible comes to terms with his abilities, he becomes stronger and stronger.

He is, from the beginning, a difficult character for his enemies to defeat, however, as the series progresses he becomes even harder. There is no doubt that he is the strongest of a new breed of heroes. His power is evidenced as he helps his father kill a kaiju that had previously hospitalized Omni-Man. The true realization of Invincible's strength comes through Cecil's belief in his power and the new Guardians' admission that they wouldn't even be able to keep up with him and Omni-Man in a fight.

2 The Utopian (Jupiter's Legacy)

Another Superman impersonator, the Utopian is the most powerful hero in Jupiter's LegacyHe can fly, has super strength, and can project energy from his eyes. He is the leader of the Union of Justice, is revered by every character in the series, and his powers remain with him even into his old age. As a younger man, his desire and inability to give up on his dream make him strong.

When embedded with real power he becomes even stronger. He is unwilling to relinquish his moral code and this can be seen as his only weakness, as it tears his team apart and results in the deaths of some younger members. As a result viewers only see a fraction of The Utopian's power, as he so regularly holds himself back in order to protect his foes.

1 Scarlet Witch (WandaVision)

Wanda, in Avengers: Endgamecripples Thanos with ease. Following Tony Stark's funeral, she then loses control of her powers and takes control over Westview. It is revealed, at the end of WandaVisionthat Wanda is in fact the Scarlet Witch. This makes her the most powerful witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to her control of chaos magic.

The audience sees Wanda studying the Darkhold and hearing the voices of her children. She is already powerful enough to defeat an extremely powerful and experienced witch in Agatha Harkness. Once she has full control over her abilities and knows how to utilise spells properly then she will be one of the most powerful characters ever depicted on screen.
