Venom: Let There Be Carnage reportedly will not be delayed to 2022 and is still set for its scheduled October release. Originally scheduled to come out last fall, the highly-anticipated sequel has been pushed back multiple times due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It was only a couple weeks ago Venom: Let There Be Carnage was delayed from a September premiere, primarily over concerns about the spreading Delta variant causing new COVID-19 cases to rise across the country.
With the film's latest release date just a couple months away, there's still been some uncertainty about Venom: Let There Be Carnage's impending debut. Moviegoers feel less confident about going back to theaters now than they did earlier in the year, causing box office numbers to drop (see: The Suicide Squad). Even though there have been hits such as Free Guy this summer, there have been questions regarding the state of the fall 2021 release calendar. It looked like Venom: Let There Be Carnage was going to get delayed again to 2022, but that appears to be untrue.
Per Variety, Venom: Let There Be Carnage will not be delayed to next year. It's still coming out in October.
