The Outlaw car and Deadeye Canyon arena will both make their debut in Rocket League Season 4, which goes live next week on August 11. Rocket League's fourth season of content will give players access to much more than a new car and play space. Most notably, the supersonic sports title is also set to rollout 2v2 tournaments, a marked difference from the 3v3 tournaments that have dominated since launch.
Rocket League has experienced several other major changes in the many years since its 2025 debut. Marketing deals with other brands help mix things up every so often, for instance, allowing users to race around the arena in iconic vehicles from pop culture franchises. Plus, mega-publisher and Fornite creator Epic Games acquired Rocket League developer Psyonix in early 2019, ushering in a new era for the previously independent studio. Yet another shift arrived in September 2020, when Rocket League adopted the free-to-play model and a soft reset that restarted the seasonal count back at one. Now the fourth season in the post-free-to-play run is on the horizon.
Psyonix has unleashed a cinematic trailer for Rocket League Season 4, teasing the all-new Deadeye Canyon arena. Rocket Pass Premium members will also want to keep a sharp eye out for Outlaw, the latest car that comes packed with 70+ tiers of loot, including the Amikoo Decal, Lava Boost, No-Name Topper, and Tanker Wheels. A host of other additions will go live with Season 4, as well. In addition to the aforementioned advent of 2v2 Tournaments, players can expect a "streamer safe music feature," alongside the ability to team vote on forfeiting Casual Matches. Suffice it to say, Rocket League fans are in for quite a treat when Season 4 touches down on August 11 at 8:00 AM PT.
These additions should provide a strong start to the new Rocket League season, maintaining the momentum Psyonix built throughout the Summer Road Trip content. The Summer Road Trip event kicked off on July 1, reinstating formerly retired vehicles like the Jurassic World Jeep and Back to the Future's DeLorean. Even 007 got in on the fun, with James Bond's iconic 1963 Aston Martin DB5 taking a turn of its own in the arena.
A successor to Psyonix's Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, Rocket League initially launched in Summer 2015 on PC and PlayStation 4. It quickly took the world by storm, too, and later migrated to Nintendo and Xbox platforms.
Rocket League is available to play on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
