Lost Judgment Debuts English Voice Cast In New Trailer

Developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and Sega have announced the English voice cast for the upcoming Lost Judgment in a brand-new trailer. An action-oriented Yakuza spinoff, the first Judgment centers on lawyer-turned-private detective Takayuki Yagami, who must investigate a series of gruesome murders in Kamurocho, the fictional Tokyo district from Yakuza.

The title launched on PS4 in Japan in 2018, then received a worldwide release the following year. This year saw Sega rollout a Remastered version across Google Stadia, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms, which arrived just in time for the announcement of Lost Judgment. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio promises the eagerly-awaited sequel will improve upon its predecessor in myriad ways, with Producer Kazuki Hosokawa recently teasing enhancements to the investigate aspects of the experience. While the developer and Sega plan on keeping some details close to the chest, the latest bit of news features information that Western audiences will want to be apprised of.

A brand-new trailer for Lost Judgment just went live, detailing the English voice cast who will bring to life Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's newest opus. Greg Chun reprises his role as protagonist Takayuki Yagami and Crispin Freeman rejoined the cast as Yagami's sidekick, Masaharu Kaito. In addition, Artt Butler (Mortal Kombat Legends) assumes the role of Akihiro Ehara, whose sexual assault case rests at the center of the sequel. Stephanie Sheh (Naurto) voices Saori Shirosaki, Todd Haberkorn (Ben 10) lends his talents to Jin Kuwana, Erica Lindbeck (Marvel's Spider-Man) plays Yoko Sawa, Steve Blum (Mortal Kombat 11) is Toru Higashi, Matt Y. King (Cyberpunk 2077) joins as Kazuki Soma, and Joe Zieja (Fire Emblem: Three Houses) plays the part of Issei Hoshino.

Akin to the original Judgment, Lost Judgment has quite the impressive English voice cast attached, which should bode well for the final product. Fans will get to determine that much for themselves in less than one month's time since the sequel hits stores in late September.

Unfortunately, the forthcoming installment could mark the franchise's last. Actor Takuya Kimura provides both Yagami's Japanese voice and likeness across the two titles, yet his talent agency - Johnny & Associates - has blocked Sega from releasing the follow-up on Steam because of reservations about the PC market. Such a move could sway Sega from pursuing additional Judgment entries in the future.
