One Tree Hill alum Hilarie Burton, Sophia Bush, and Bethany Joy Lenz recently launched a podcast in which they rewatch their hit drama series that aired from 2003 until 2012 on the CW. The podcast, entitled Drama Queens, features in-depth analyses of episodes and interviews of fellow cast members.
The podcast hosts played best friends on the show, and also shared a variety of love interests and enemies. There were several new One Tree Hill characters introduced over the years, creating tension, love triangles, and all sorts of family drama. The Drama Queens have already interviewed fan-favorites like Lee Norris and Barbara Alyn Woods, but with a cast that large, there are plenty of options for future episodes.
10 Bryan Greenberg (Jake Jagielski)
Bryan Greenberg starred as a basketball player at Tree Hill High named Jake Jagielski, who had an infant daughter. Before his permanent departure in season 3, Jake was a primary love interest for Peyton Sawyer.
The Drama Queens have already referenced Greenberg in a number of episodes since his appearance in the first season. They've spoken about his kind nature and his musical talents, as well as Jake and Peyton's eventual love story. Having Greenberg on the podcast could give more insight into how close Jake and Peyton were to being endgame, and share behind-the-scene secrets about the musical element of the show.
9 Michaela McManus (Lindsey Strauss)
Michaela McManus first appeared on the show in season 5 after the infamous time jump. She starred as Lucas's fiancée, Lindsey, with whom he was planning a wedding following his break-up with long-time girlfriend Peyton.
McManus's character served as a major plot device in the adult years of One Tree Hill. Her appearance included a wedding where she left the eldest Scott brother at the altar after realizing his feelings for his ex. An interview with McManus would likely be delightful, given that she was an antagonist on the show and could break down the doomed relationship between Lindsey and Lucas.
8 Craig Sheffer (Keith Scott)
Dan Scott's older, kinder brother Keith was played by none other than Craig Sheffer for the first three seasons of the show. Keith was shockingly killed in the famous shooting episode of the third season, where he was gunned down in the Tree Hill hallway by his own brother.
Lenz has mentioned on the podcast about her unrequited crush on Sheffer, something that everyone including Burton, Bush, and Woods knew about. Hearing his reaction to Lenz's schoolgirl crush would be adorable, as well as what it was like to play such a pivotal role in the show and be a part of one of TV's most heartbreaking deaths.
7 Jackson Brundage (Jamie Scott)
During season 4 of the series, high school sweethearts (and newlyweds!) Nathan and Bethany Scott welcomed their son James "Jamie" Lucas into the world. Following the time jump, he was portrayed as a precocious five-year-old by actor Jackson Brundage.
Though he started the show at just seven years old, Brundage is in his early twenties now and would offer a whole new perspective as a child who grew up on the show. Hearing his reaction to his role on the drama series, as well as seeing Lenz interacting with Brundage, who is now the same age that she was when she first starred as Haley, would be fascinating and hilarious.
6 Torrey Devitto (Nanny Carrie)
One of the most divisive characters to ever grace Tree Hill was none other than Torrey Devitto's Nanny Carrie. First appearing as a caregiver to young Jamie, she quickly transitioned into a flirtatious foe, threatening Nathan and Haley's already tumultuous marriage.
After her firing, Carrie kidnapped Jamie — and later Dan, before being hit in the head by Deb Scott. The Drama Queens have briefly mentioned the character, saying that Devitto was absolutely nothing like Nanny Carrie in real life. As one of the supervillains of One Tree Hill, hearing Devitto recap her time on the show would be insightful and allow the ladies to all share a laugh over one of the more intense storylines.
5 Robert Buckley (Clay Evans)
Following Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton's exits at the end of season 6, Robert Buckley was introduced as Nathan's agent, Clay Evans. At the same time, Shantel Vansanten showed up as Haley's older sister, Quinn, and the two became the "new" Lucas and Peyton of the show.
Since appearing on the show, Buckley has reunited with One Tree Hill co-stars Burton, Danneel Ackles, and Antwon Tanner in Hallmark movies. A close bond among the cast members remains, and given Buckley's close friendship with Burton, a guest spot by him is sure to happen either before or after Clay's season 7 introduction.
4 Shantel VanSanten (Quinn James)
Shantel VanSanten served as a pseudo-Peyton Sawyer from seasons 7 through 9 as Haley James' older sister, Quinn. She became a love interest for Robert Buckley's Clay and a fun aunt for Jamie Scott.
VanSanten has remained close with her on-screen sister Lenz and TV husband Buckley. Having her on the podcast would allow the original Peyton Sawyer and her replacement to be in the same room and discuss the impact Quinn had on the final seasons of the show.
3 Moira Kelly (Karen Roe)
Lucas Scott's mother was played by on-set mother Moira Kelly, who previously starred as Mandy on The West Wing. Kelly's Karen Roe was thrust into a love triangle between two brothers, Keith and Dan, and ended up riding off into the sunset with her professor Andy Hargrove instead.
The leading ladies have already discussed the love and security they felt from Kelly on-set, and how they would love to have her on the podcast to detail Karen's character arc and portraying a mother to a teenager at such a young age. They could also ask Kelly why Karen never returned to Tree Hill after Lucas and Peyton's wedding, and what the future had in store for Karen and Andy.
2 Paul Johansson (Dan Scott)
Has there ever been a character more frustrating yet redeemable than Dan Scott? Paul Johansson's character began the series as an overbearing father to Nathan and an absentee father to Lucas. Over the course of the series, he went from being the bad guy to the good guy to the worst guy — but someone whom audience members could root for.
Joy Lenz has maintained a close friendship with Johansson and has mentioned wanting to have him on the podcast. It would be exciting to hear him talk about his character development and whether or not he felt like Dan was redeemable in the end.
1 James Lafferty (Nathan Scott)
One of the main characters of the series, Nathan Scott began the series as the bad boy with a troubled home life and evolved into a loving husband, father, and friend. James Lafferty started the show when he was just 17 years old, much like his character, and is now the age his father was in the first season of One Tree Hill.
Nathan and Haley's relationship is one of the most beloved in teen drama history and getting an interview with the two of them would make fans' hearts fill with joy. Nathan also had one of the best arcs on the show and hearing how Lafferty navigated portraying that at such a young age would be a thrill.
