When it comes to The Office, fans can't help themselves but binge the series, again and again, laughing at the characters' iconic scenes. Michael's behavior never gets less cringey, Dwight's outbursts are never old, and the love story between Pam and Jim never fails to pull on heartstrings. But with every rewatch comes new realizations that fans hadn't noticed on their previous rewatch.
Over on Reddit, fans have noted things that they never noticed before — even though they've seen The Office countless times. The attention to small details is what makes the mockumentary one of the greats. From coffee mugs to nameplates, dedicated fans are recognizing it all.
10 The One Thing David Wallace & Michael Scott Have In Common
In season 2, Michael meets Dunder Mifflin's newest CEO, David Wallace. The two got off on the wrong foot when Micahel didn't exactly understand the assignment of a budget meeting and later made an inappropriate sexual comment about this boss, Jan.
When Michael was called into Michael's office, a few fans noticed the World's Best Boss coffee mug on his desk — the same mug (but in black) that Michael drinks out of! Perhaps Michael and David had more in common than they realized.
9 Creed Strikes Again!
Creed doesn't have the most screentime in the series but he does have some of the best quotes. His mystery and intrigue make him one of the greatest characters on the show.
One fan pointed out that Creed's shenanigans continued on Michael's last day at work. Instead of bringing his World's Best Boss mug with him, he tossed it in the trash as one of his last efforts as manager. As Michael is leaving the office, Creed says "See ya tomorrow, boss," and what is he holding? The very mug Michael tossed in the trash earlier.
8 The Dunder Mifflin YouTube Page
In the final season, the workers of Dunder Mifflin gain some popularity from the documentary's release. They all appreciate the notoriety, but Andy views it as his chance to become famous. In a sense, Andy's entire being is meme-worthy because of his constant theatrics, and he continued the theatrics on YouTube.
He posted videos of himself singing while playing the banjo and was looking forwards to seeing the comments on his page. But one fan pointed out that Andy didn't post the videos to his own YouTube page, he posted them to Dunder Mifflin's. Not only that but there are 25 videos on Dunder Mifflin's page. What other videos did the Scranton branch upload?
7 Creed Knows What To Do With Weapons
When Dwight became the regional manager for a short time, the power went to his head and he tried changing everything about the office. He even felt compelled to carry a loaded gun on his hip just in case anything got out of hand.
But when Dwight accidentally shoots his gun, the office deems him unfit. In a moment that went unnoticed by many, apart from a few savvy Redditors, Dwight hands his gun over to Creed. It seems dangerous giving a loaded weapon to a person like Creed, but at the same time, if there's one person who knows what to do with a weapon, it's Creed.
6 Buh-Bye Andy!
Many fans can agree that the later seasons of The Office have some of the worst episodes in the series. And sadly, Nellie Bertram was in many of them. Fans found it hard to cope with The Office after Michael left and put Andy in charge as regional manager. But when Andy went on spontaneous a trip down to Florida, Nellie tried taking Andy's position as regional manager.
What's even more surprising was that Robert California allowed it to happen. One fan noticed that when Nellie took over Andy's desk, she made her own makeshift nameplate.
5 Michael's Sassy Wallet
When Michael was preparing for a blind date with Pam's landlord, he excitedly bought a fun coffee as he waited. Due to the awkwardness of the date, it was one of the best episodes set outside of Dunder Mifflin.
Nevertheless, an eagle-eyed fan noticed that when Michael bought his coffee, he whipped out a wallet that was black with pink sparkles all over it. Fans can only guess that Michael bedazzled this himself in his free time.
4 A Parks & Recreation Connection
There have been multiple connections to The Office from TV shows like Community and Parks and Recreation. One connection that fans have noticed between The Office and Parks and Rec is the dog, Champion.
Andy agrees to adopt more dogs than he could handle at an auction, and the one dog shown has three legs, just like Champion in Parks and Recreation. In a dream-like multi-universe, Andy gives his three-legged friend to Andy and April.
3 Goodbye, Scranton Business Park
There are a few businesses located inside the Scranton Business Park, including Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch and warehouse. But when Dwight has a great sales year, the new CEO encourages Dwight to put that money into real estate.
Dwight decided to buy the business park, which ended up being a smart business decision. However, one fan noticed that Dwight changed the name of the building to The Schrute Building, as it was written on the bottom of the lobby's blackboard.
2 Andy, The Brown Noser
Before Andy became a permanent manager, Dwight was the manager until Micahel came back from corporate. Just as he did with Michael, Andy tried his best to snuggle up to the boss and get on his good side. Even though the new boss was Dwight, Andy still wanted to make a good impression.
One fan recognized that when Dwight became the manager, Andy began wearing short sleeves, just like Dwight. Previously, Andy mentioned that he imitated his bosses as a way to gain likability and it looks like he continued this behavior with Dwight.
1 Michael Sneaks A Peak
When Jim began focusing on his future, he wanted to have a meeting with David Wallace about a possible promotion. He was one of the best employees at Dunder Mifflin and deserved a few perks. Michael, however, hated that Jim and David were having a meeting without him.
With Andy's help, he hid under a cheese table and was wheeled into the conference room as a way to spy on the meeting. Hilariously, one fan noticed that Michael actually peaks through the curtain at one point without being seen by Jim or David!
