How to Use Amiibo Figures in Monster Hunter Stories 2

Amiibo Figures come along with their own rewards in Monster Hunter Stories 2. This guide will show players how they can claim them and what rewards they will obtain. Amiibo's took the world by storm when the first released. Introduced as a tie-in product with the release of Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, players from all around the world would head out to collect every character in the roster. With limited supplies and scalpers snatching them all up, it becomes challenging (but rewarding) to try and collect every amiibo out there. A few titles outside of Smash Bros have received their own set of amiibo figures, including the Monster Hunter series. This guide will show players what rewards come along with scanning each amiibo type.

Amiibo figures for Monster Hunter Stories, Monster Hunter Rise, and Monster Hunter Stories 2 have been released. The original Monster Hunter Stories released back on the Nintendo 3DS so finding those amiibo figures will be a bit more challenging. Although, players can scan irrelevant amiibo figures like Mario or Link for additional rewards. The true treasure comes along with scanning amiibo figures that are released alongside the game. Here is what happens when players scan each amiibo figure.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 released with a handful of rewards upon scanning. To collect them, head over to the Prayer Pot in any villager and select "Use an amiibo". Now, tap the amiibo in question to gather rewards. The Monster Hunter Stories 2 amiibo comes along with their own special set of items and players can claim an amiibo once per day. If the player tries to scan them again on another date, they will receive a smaller reward. Here's what comes along with each amiibo.

  • Razewing Ratha amiibo: Red's Outfit
  • Ena: Kyle and Ena's Outfit
  • Tsukino: Tsukino Outfit
  • Any Monster Hunter Rise Amiibo: Players will receive a special sticker set for scanning one of these for the first time. Players only need to scan one out of the possible 3 to collect the set.
  • Any Other Amiibo (Mario, Isabelle, Pokemon, etc): Players will receive a random small bonus.

As mentioned, players will be able to collect the rewards once per day. This is great for those players who have a ton of amiibo lying around collecting dust. While the hype around amiibo figures has certainly died down, it's nice to see Nintendo allowing third-party companies to create their own. The Monster Hunter Stories 2 amiibo are some of the best-looking out there.
