Harry, Ron, and Hermione from Harry Potter might be tasked with dealing with Death Eaters and stopping Lord Voldemort, but they are also just teenagers dealing with schoolwork, friendship, and dating. This decision devastates both Harry and Hermione, and they aren't the same with Ron gone. It's one of the most emotionally dramatic moments in the series, and fans were relieved when Ron made his way back to them and everything turned out all right.
