God Of War & Loki Crossover In God Of Mischief Fan Cover Art

Loki and Kid Loki are on full display in a God of War and Loki crossover after a major fan posted their epic fan cover art. The cover, made to look like a genuine PlayStation game, shows what a God of War and Loki crossover game would look like, and fans are all for it. The cover is crafted in classic comic-book design, with Kid Loki standing in a power pose in front of Classic Loki, dark clouds, and lighting spitting in the background. Fans can’t wait for God of War: Ragnarok, ever since the first game’s cliffhanger ending proves Loki is in the universe. The trickster god may play a huge role in setting forth the end of the world, and one fan made sure to encapsulate the excitement in their cover art.

Kid Loki first appeared in the MCU during the fourth episode of Loki, but found his true glory in the fifth episode, “Journey into Mystery,” when it’s revealed that he is the King of the Void. In the comics, Kid Loki has a large array of powers, which includes polymorphing others into animals and binding beasts to his will – as well as many abilities his older self maintained. Though he’s just recently arrived in the MCU, Kid Loki has expansive adventures within the Marvel Comics, even joining the Young Avengers for quite some time. Now, fans think Kid Loki may appear in God of War in the form of Atreus after it was revealed that his mother is a giant and wanted to name him Loki.

Posted to Instagram by thebutcherbilly, the fan cover art shows what a potential God of War and Loki crossover would look like. On the cover, Kid Loki is standing in front of Classic Loki as they look off into the distance. Kid Loki is wearing his signature power pose, fists poised at his hips like the true King of the Void. Dark smoke and lighting spit in the background, and the original title, “God of War, is crossed out for a much more relevant “God of Mischief.”

The cover art perfectly resembles what a crossover between God of War and Loki would look like. The cover stays true to God of War, with Classic Loki representing Kratos – standing boldly in the background – and Kid Loki represents Atreus, trying to look strong in the foreground. The dynamic between the two characters is clear, showing off the father/son dynamic present in God of War. Of course, the dark clouds from the Void aren’t present in the God of War franchise, but the cover art does raise questions regarding how Kratos and Atreus would conquer Alioth.

It’s possible God of War: Ragnarok will have plenty of Loki-inspired mischiefs, despite a lack of crossover with the MCU’s TV show. At the end of the last game, it was revealed that Atreus was originally going to be named Loki, and thus he may set forth the end of the world. Though not much is confirmed about God of War: Ragnarok, it’s likely that the Loki plot point won’t be forgotten, and could play a vital role in the events of the sequel. Though fans may never see a God of War and Loki crossover, the fan cover art is a good way to imagine how epic that game would be.
