Longtime Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba just confirmed that she will in fact be returning to the ballroom for the show's milestone season 30 this fall. Carrie Ann has been a judge on the show since its start in 2005. Now, as a new season nears, it was unclear if Carrie Ann would return to her judge's chair.
Back in April, Carrie Ann announced she would be taking a leave of absence from her co-host position on The Talk. Because of this, it was unclear whether Carrie Ann would be a part of the new season of Dancing With The Stars. Prior to making her announcement, Carrie Ann had been absent from The Talk for two weeks due to medical issues. She had been dealing with side effects from her autoimmune condition.
Now, fans no longer have to wonder if Carrie Ann Inaba will be sitting alongside Derek Hough, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli on Dancing With The Stars season 30. Carrie Ann took to Instagram on Friday to announce in a post (seen below) that she will in fact be on DWTS season 30. She started off the post by writing, "Bring on the ballroom." She then informed fans that the show will officially be returning on Monday, September 20 at 8pm ET on ABC. The dancing judge then wrote, "I’ll be there! Will you? Who’s ready for our 30th season? " At the end of the post, Carrie Ann tagged the official Instagram page for the show. As for her role on The Talk, Carrie Ann revealed earlier in the day on her Instagram story that she will soon have some news regarding her future on the show as well.
It's also been confirmed that Derek Hough will continue on as a judge for the second consecutive season despite initially being a temporary replacement for Len Goodman. Although fans were not impressed nor happy about the sudden change in host last fall, Tyra Banks will in fact be the host yet again this year. In fact, earlier this month, Tyra admitted that she was really hoping Carrie Ann would return to the show this fall. She also teased some new "twists and turns" that fans can anticipate throughout the milestone season. Tyra did not have a definite answer about whether or not the show will bring back a live audience. However, she said it was very unlikely due to safety risks related to COVID-19 right now.
More and more information regarding the new season of Dancing With The Stars continues to unfold as the season nears closer. Unfortunately for the fans, they will have to continue waiting to learn who will be competing in the ballroom this fall, as well as which of their favorite dancers will be returning to the show. Based on years past, the full cast list is expected to be announced sometime in late August or early September.
