Over the past month, several former female contestants from The Bachelor have opened up about their recent health scares. It seems the women in Bachelor Nation have been through a lot lately in terms of their health, and they are using their platforms to bring awareness. Whether the sickness is still a mystery or not, they want their followers to listen to their bodies.
Nonetheless, the women in the franchise aren't the only ones going through some medical issues. Trista Sutter's husband, Ryan, who she met on The Bachelorette, has recently gone through a health scare of his own. Over the past year, the pair have been trying to figure it out and recently discovered it was Lymes Disease.
Similar to Ryan, a few women from The Bachelor franchise have been on a long journey to figure out what it is that is causing their health issues. Facing a health concern can be scary and difficult, but it seems these three women have done their best to stay strong. Here are three women from the franchise who had recent health scares.
On Saturday, Clare Crawley admitted that she will be removing her breast implants to help improve her overall health. The 40-year-old revealed in an Instagram video that she has been on her personal health journey for years, trying to get the answers as to why she feels so unwell. Clare has been having "really bad hives and rash" and even took a blood test to find out what was causing the reaction. After a visit to the chiropractor last month, she discovered "a big packet of fluid" was behind one of them. After talking with Dale Moss, she has decided that her health is more important.
Krystal Nielson, who appeared on Arie Luyendyk's season of The Bachelor, opened up about her recent chemical exposure on Instagram. Over the past couple of weeks, the new mom has been in and out of doctors' offices trying to figure out what has been going on with her eyes and why her "vision was blurry, [her] eyes were insanely scratchy/ itchy, bloodshot and non-stop weeping." She finally got some answers, and this was apparently a chemical exposure from getting her hair done. Not only did it affect her eyes, but also drastically affected her milk supply for her newborn daughter Andara.
Less than a month ago, the Bachelor in Paradise alum was hospitalized for unknown reasons. Her estranged husband, Evan Bass, was the one who took her to the hospital following the scary incident. In an Instagram video, Carly offered a health update and revealed she "started having really bad intestinal cramps" before heading to the hospital. She added, "When I say really bad, they were what I would compare to contractions [...] They were unbelievably bad." Carly continued, revealing she felt "super, super hot and super, super nauseous," unable to see or hear before she passed out. After being taken to the hospital, the doctors believe that it was a virus or bacteria that just got her "really good." Since then, however, Carly seems to be feeling progressively better.
Health is something that should never take lightly, and these female contestants from The Bachelor franchise are putting their health first. Hopefully, they will all recover quickly and can live a healthier life after these scares.
The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8 pm EST on ABC.
