Paper Mario-Inspired Bug Fables & More Coming To Xbox Game Pass In July

Microsoft has unleashed the Xbox Game Pass lineup for July 1, headlined by the likes of the Paper Mario-inspired title Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling. The first paper-crafted Mario adventure dazzled players in 2000 with a stunning role-playing title that Nintendo fans didn't want to miss. Paper Mario's most recent entry, The Origami King, managed to similarly impress longtime Mario faithful.

Developer Moonsprout Games captured the same magic with Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, an adventure-RPG that hit PC in late 2019, then migrated to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One in 2020. Heavily inspired by the first two Paper Mario installments, Bug Fables followed heroes Vi, Kabbu, and Leif in their journey to find the Land of Bugaria and the ancient treasures buried within it. A certain Microsoft-owned subscription service will shine another light on this hidden gem in the coming days.

In an Xbox Wire post, the Xbox Game Pass team outlined nine titles that will hit the service very soon. Today, June 23, cloud, console, and PC subscribers can access arena-based title Worms Rumble. Iron Harvest comes to PC on June 24, along with the Prodeus game preview. In addition, tomorrow will also bring Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered to Game Pass via EA Play. Come July 1, members can expect to jump into the other five new arrivals - Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & BoltsBug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, Gang BeastsImmortal Realms: Vampire Wars, and indie darling Limbo.

As is usually the case, the forthcoming lineup of Xbox Game Pass arrivals has something that most players should be able to enjoy. In the event that subscribers don't find themselves interested in the nine additions, there's a vast selection of other titles well worth exploring. A number of notable experiences hit the surface during E3 2021, in fact; the list in question featured 10 Bethesda-published titles such as Fallout 3, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and The Evil Within 2.

It's possible that Microsoft has yet another heavy-hitter up its sleeve as well, considering a recent tease from the Xbox Game Pass Twitter account. The page shared an interesting post earlier in the week that seems to hint at Yakuza spinoff Judgment potentially joining the service sometime soon.
