However, with these new relationships, sometimes secrets are kept from each other, and lies are eventually revealed. From small pieces of withheld information to full-blown lies, some couples face major roadblocks before their engagement can even begin.
While all couples bicker and face troubles, some individuals reveal lies that dent the relationship and break the barrier of trust, and ultimately leave fans shocked.
10 Ricky Reyes
Ricky Reyes from season 2 was known for juggling multiple women at once, even during the show. Ricky traveled to Colombia to meet up with a woman named Melissa, but when he was turned down, he lied about Melissa being his first choice, and instead met with Ximena, who thought his intentions were pure.
Fans were appalled by Ricky's actions with having Ximena as a second choice and lying to her face about it. Viewers also believed he only wanted to stay on the show and be relevant. While he eventually told the truth, this was a lie fans could not forget.
9 Usman Umar
Couple Usman and Lisa from season 4 were known for drama and lies, but Usman's career seemed to be the only thing he cared about in the end. Lisa accused him of only being with her to be able to move to America and gain more fame.
While it initially seemed like Usman loved Lisa, especially from his song dedicated to her, fans knew he only wanted recognition and fame. The relationship did not last as they split, and Usman has Lisa blocked on social media.
8 Ed Brown
From season 4, Ed Brown had told lies to Rosemary from the beginning. He initially told her that he was taller than he was, but then he also made bigger lies about his future. He told Rose he wanted children, but he already had a child from his previous wife, and how he ended up wanting to get a vasectomy.
Ed was known for being a manipulative liar to Rose, and the lies came back to bite him. While Ed is still well-known, fans still remember the way he acted in the show and the way he treated Rose.
7 Tom Brooks
Tom Brooks from season 4 is known as someone who puts up a front about who he really is and what he's truly done. He posted on his Instagram of a luxurious second home he owned, but fans later found out the home was still on the market. He was also known for stealing other photos and claiming the items as his own.
From the wealthy appearance he tried to make in front of Darcey and the viewers, it all seemed to be stretched too far. Tom deleted all photos of his "home" from his Instagram, but fans are still bothered about his unnecessary lies.
6 Darcey Silva
While Tom Brooks was a liar, Darcey had her own secrets as well. It turns out that although she claimed she was over her ex, Jesse, she still had many missed calls and messages from him before she left for London to meet Tom, making fans question if that was true.
She also would talk to Tom about Jesse nonstop, making Tom irritated and making fans believe that her love for him wasn't gone.
5 Ash Naeck
Couple Ash and Avery dealt with the issues of Ash's previous divorce. Ash told Avery that his divorce was finalized a while ago, but Avery found out from Sian, his ex-wife, that the divorce was only a year ago. Avery was not happy with his dishonesty, and neither were fans.
Ash also told Avery that his ex-wife was fine with Ash moving to America, but Avery found out that there was more to it and Sian was more frustrated than she thought. Fans grew irritated that Ash was downplaying these important truths.
4 Michael Ilesanmi
Michael and Angela are known for their arguments and drama. However, Michael was caught in another lie, and Angela did not let him off easily. For Michael's birthday, the couple was going to go on a boat to celebrate, and when Angela asked Michael if he had ever gone to the boat dock before, he said no.
However, Angela discovered a photo of Michael on a boat with a woman in the background. Angela got so upset that she kicked Michael out and he had to sleep in his car for the night. The next day, he went out to buy a cake to apologize, but Angela ends up throwing the cake in his face. While there were many lies between the two, Angela's actions made fans remember this lie the most.
3 Rebecca Parrot
From season 2, Rebecca Parrot created some drama within her handful of lies that made fans uneasy. She first lied about her appearance and age. However, when she traveled to Tunisia to meet her future fiancé, Zied Hakimi, she was still legally married, and was only beginning to sign the divorce papers.
Hakimi was told the divorce was already final, so he booked a hotel, and it is illegal to share a hotel room in a Muslim country if the couple is not married. Rebecca's lie put the two in legal danger, and fans were enraged with her not telling the truth right away and risking their safety.
2 Lana
David and Lana from season 4 were suspicious from the very beginning. Lana had not told David much information, and when he went to visit her multiple times, she told him lies about how she could not meet. Fans did not like this at all, especially since David was sending her a huge amount of money, and yet he didn't know who Lana really was.
Fans began to theorize that Lana was already married, and just wanted someone for the money. However, David could not get himself to believe that Lana would lie about so much, but fans did not give her mercy. It was later stated that Lana said it was all for show, anyway.
1 Geoffrey Paschel
Geoffrey threw himself in a tough situation in season 3 where he was in relationships with two women at the same time. However, fans proved that he was never in love with Mary, and only loved Varya. Even when Mary and Varya fought, Geoffrey did nothing to jump in, and replaced Mary easily with no emotions.
There were numerous lies with Geoffrey, from his criminal record to his manipulative behavior to his uncontrollable temper, and fans were disgusted by his behavior and wanted him gone. Geoffrey was so hated that he was banned from the reunion.
