In the latest episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, Brandon Gibbs made his new wife Julia Trubkina meet his close female friend Melanie. The former go-go dancer has told cameras that she is the jealous type of a person, and she doesn't trust any other girl around her husband. Julia trusts Brandon, but she thinks that other girls can be "foxy" and perhaps lure her man into cheating. During the 90 Day Fiance season 8 Tell-All, the Russian native shared her opinion that a male and female can't be best friends. At least one of them has to have romantic feelings. Many viewers were shocked to listen to Julia's perception and on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, they got to witness her jealous side up close.
She has been advised to meet more people and converse with them in English. Brandon suggested that they should meet his close friend Melanie. Julia admits she is uncomfortable with the fact that her husband has a female friend. She asked whether Melanie was ugly and if Brandon had some feelings for her before. Even though Brandon said Melanie is like a sister to him, it didn't change Julia's perception of her. She met Melanie with an unfriendly attitude. Things took a drastic turn when Melanie mentioned that Brandon and Julia's relationship moved on too quickly. She also ended up confronting Julia about her intentions of being with Brandon. She implied that she could leave him after getting her Green Card.
Julia and Melanie weren't friendly on camera; however, they are following each other on Instagram. In fact, Julia has also liked some of Melanie's pictures. So, it looks like the duo has resolved their issues. Brandon is also following Melanie on Instagram, and he doesn't seem to double-tap most of her pictures. She can be found with the username @melllowvibez. She has over 1200 followers, and her bio says, "Mel," followed by a black heart. She doesn't have many pictures with Brandon on her IG grid except for one that was shared in August 2015. In the photo, Melani and Brandon must have been 22 or 23 years old. Melanie captioned this picture with hashtags, "#oldfriends #goodtimes#reunited #$napbacks."
She also shared a solo picture with Brandon, which does hint that she was closer to him. A year later, Melanie got together with her current boyfriend, Teejus. While talking to Julia, she mentioned that she has been dating her boyfriend for over four years, and she is still learning new things about him. In September 2019, she celebrated her 25th birthday, which would make her 27 now. She loves traveling with her boyfriend and often shares breathtaking pictures of lush green landscapes. She has also been to amazing spots such as Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Big Meadows, Virginia, and Pony Pasture in Richmond. While talking to the cameras, Melanie revealed that Brandon always had a type. He used to go for girls who looked like Julia, "very thin, brunette, very bossy." Interestingly, Melanie is also quite thin and brunette.
She said, "Julia definitely fits that. I don't really know much about Russia but maybe they aren't really familiar with, like, having a girl friend or guy friend." Judging by her IG feed, Melanie appears to be much more outgoing than Brandon. She hasn't mentioned anything about her job or what she does for a living. Her boyfriend is a digital content creator. Some 90 Day Fiance viewers dragged Melanie because she probably saw that Julia was jealous, so she tried to make her even more insecure by talking about the past, or perhaps she had feelings for Brandon at one point.
