Seeking Sister Wife: Jarod Dragged for Wanting Kaleh to Quit Working

Fans are not feeling the "King" Jarod's controlling behavior on Seeking Sister Wife after he asked Kaleh to quit working. In the most recent episode he guilted his second wife Kaleh for not being present enough, and subsequently got dragged on Reddit for his outlook. Fans were happy to see Kaleh stand up for herself, even though it resulted in an explosive fight between Jarod, Kaleh, and Vanessa.

A lot of things came to light on this week's episode of Seeking Sister Wife. Danielle revealed that she worries that Garrick will lose his feelings for her now that he's legally marrying Roberta. Tami admitted that she has a hard time celebrating her sister wife Sophie's pregnancy after her own struggles with fertility. But by far the most revealing moment of last week's episode was the fight that occurred during Jarod, Vanessa, and Kaleh's "tribal meeting." It started off with Jarod complaining that he and Vanessa don't see enough of Kaleh because she works two jobs. Things got heated when Kaleh felt like she was being talked down to and treated like a troubled child that Jarod hoped to "fix."

Kaleh told the camera that she feels like she needs to work two jobs so that if the relationship ends she'll be alright on her own. Fans understood her reasoning for wanting to put herself first in this way, and they were not happy with Jarod's complaints. Jarod brought up how Kaleh's two jobs keep her away from him and Vanessa and that they miss her. However, fans felt like both Vanessa and Jarod see Kaleh as their personal maid and nanny, and that's why they don't like her working so often. A fan on Reddit wrote that "Old Queen is desperate to hang onto her not because she loves her but because daycare is expensive and they don’t clean your house and cook for you."

Fans on Reddit also pointed out that Jarod and Vanessa don't treat Kaleh like an equal. One user wrote, "she’s not treated like an equal to his other wife, they only have their stupid 'tribal meetings' saying he’s their king/leader, but Kay is never heard. I feel for her. It looks like they just manipulate Kay." Other fans dragged Jarod for his possible manipulation of Kaleh as well, especially because he is much older than her. Fans suspect that he helped her out of a bad situation and now holds that over Kaleh's head. Kaleh alluded to as much when she accused Jarod of trying to make it seem like "this is the little piece of trash that I got out of the trash and saved."

Kaleh's high emotions made fans start to wonder if there was more hurt behind her words than the audience knows about. Her strong reaction to being painted as a failure that needs fixing, plus her insistence on working two jobs in case things go south paint a picture of a woman who is not secure in her relationship or her place in the family "hierarchy." Viewers will have even more of a reason to drag Jarod during next week's episode, as the preview showed him telling Kaleh that the money she makes at work is "not helping the family."
