He explained his appearance angered some men, which escalated into a brawl. Some fans have speculated Gus inflicted the scar himself, as some viewers have now been comparing him to Wolverine. However, the scar is just one reason fans of the 26-year-old are growing concerned.
Gus shared a photo of himself to his Instagram this week featuring an appearance that looks distinctly more haggard than when he started on MTV in 2017. "Prolly should have taken better care of my face over the past couple years 😅 at least it matches my arm and soul now ☠️," he captioned the photo. "Omg so dramatic," the post's top comment currently reads. Others interpreted the picture as something more concerning. "Contact the producers. This is a cry for help," another top comment reads. "Cut your hair, wash your face and use moisturizers, you will be fine. Pansy a**," one user wrote. Others acknowledged the signature dramatic behavior of Gus. "Gus’s whole existence on the show since day one is like a soap opera audition. Over it," another user wrote. Others speculated that perhaps his face scar was not from getting jumped off-season. Some users believe Gus is using drugs, which could explain his erratic personality change.
