The next movie coming to the DC Extended Universe is The Flash. While the Snyderverse movies are in the rearview mirror, Warner Bros. is continuing Zack Snyder's original plans to have Ezra Miller return as Flash and play out the Flashpoint storyline from DC Comics. This ended the continuity at the time and relaunched DC as the New 52.
For the DCEU, this is what appears will happen. Barry Allen will make a decision that will forever change the future of the DCEU and set it up for an open future where anything can happen. Flash isn't coming alone either, as there are also two Batman's and a host of other characters joining him for the ride.
9 Ezra Miller/The Flash
Ezra Miller is returning to the DCEU as Barry Allen, the superhero known as Flash. Miller made his debut in Justice League, although he was mentioned first in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. He also showed up in the Arrowverse, where he met the Flash there. In The Flash, Barry Allen will race back through time to try to stop his mother's murder, to bring her back, and help release his father from prison, but when he returns, the world has changed drastically, and he has to figure out how to fix what he broke.
8 Ben Affleck/Batman
Ben Affleck is also returning as Batman in the movie. Affleck is an older Batman in the DCEU, and someone who wanted to kill Superman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice before realizing the errors of his ways in Justice League. He even saw a horrific future in Zack Snyder's Justice League, but that will end up eliminated here when Barry Allen runs back to the past and possibly wipes out everything DCEU fans know about Batman in this world. This is reportedly Affleck's final turn as Batman for DC.
7 Michael Keaton/Batman
A second Batman is also appearing in this movie, and it is a huge and exciting moment for old-school Batman movie fans. Michael Keaton is returning for the role of Batman after last appearing in 1989's Batman and its sequel Batman Returns. The producers have kept a tight lid on the role of Keaton, but there are some thoughts that he won't be Bruce Wayne, but instead be Thomas Wayne, as it was Bruce's dad who lived in the Flashpoint comic book series instead of Bruce.
6 Sasha Calle/Supergirl
Supergirl will make her big-screen debut in the DCEU in The Flash as well. It won't be Melissa Benoit, who is stepping down from her role as Supergirl in the Arrowverse after the current season. Instead, Sasha Calle will take on the role of Kara in The Flash.
Sasha Calle is a soap opera actress, portraying the role of Lola Rosales in The Young and the Restless since 2018, winning a Daytime Emmy for her role in 2020. The Flash will be her first movie role of any kind.
5 Kiersey Clemons/Iris West
Kiersey Clemons made her DCEU debut as Iris West in Zack Snyder's Justice League. While the theatrical cut just had Bruce Wayne find Barry Allen, Snyder's cut showed Barry in action first as he saved Iris from an auto accident that would have surely killed her. Clemons will return as Flash's love interest Iris in The Flash. Clemons has several credits to her name, including the TV shows Transparent and Easy.
4 Maribel VerdĆŗ/Nora Allen
The main reason for Flashpoint was for Barry Allen to save his mother from her murder. When he did, it changed the entire world, throwing everything out of balance. This means that The Flash will introduce Barry's mother Nora for the first time on the big screen. Maribel VerdĆŗ will star as Nora Allen in the movie. She gained her breakout success as Luisa in Alfonso Cuaron's award-winning movie Y tu mama tambien in 2001. She then followed that up in Guillermo Del Toro's masterpiece Pan's Labyrinth in 2006.
3 Ron Livingston/Henry Allen
There was a casting change before The Flash even started filming. In Justice League, Billy Crudup played Henry Allen. He is Barry's father and was in prison, falsely convicted of the murder of Nora Allen. He spent the movie trying to get Barry to move on with his life.
Due to a scheduling conflict, Crudup had to pull out of The Flash. DC replaced him with Ron Livingston, best known for the slacker, Peter Gibbons, in Office Space. He also recently starred in the hit ABC series A Million Little Things.
2 Saoirse-Monica Jackson/Unknown
The last two known actors cast for The Flash are in unknown roles. The first actor is Saoirse-Monica Jackson, who is best known for her role as Erin Quinn on the U.K. series Derry Girls. While her character remains unknown, The Flash will be her biggest movie role to date, although she is set to appear in the indie coming-of-age comedy-drama Finding You in 2021.
1 Rudy Mancuso/Unknown
The final known major actor to join The Flash in an unknown role is Rudy Mancuso. This man is known best as an Internet personality through comedy videos on YouTube and formerly on Vine. The Flash will be his second major movie role after starring in the McG sci-fi Netflix movie Rim of the World in 2019. He also appeared in the Comedy Central comedy show Drunk History.
